USC Practice Highlights

USC coach Steve Sarkisian decided starter Cody Kessler and backup Max Browne would take the majority of snaps in practice, which left freshman Jalen Green with fewer snaps than Tuesday.

“To Jalen’s credit, he goes in there and throws a touchdown pass when he did get in,” Sarkisian said. “We thought it was important to get Cody and Max extended snaps.”

Kessler and Browne were fairly sharp with Kessler throwing a deep touchdown pass to wide receiver Victor Blackwell while Browne threw a touchdown pass over the middle to tight end Chris Willson.

In a video interview with Sark on another USC website, Sark was asked how the QBs did after Tuesday’s practice and it was interesting that he said both QBs did well – apparently it’s a two-man race already.
