USC v. UCLA

As I mentioned, NFL scouts were still talking about the fishy 40 times at UCLA’s Pro Day during USC’s Pro Day. One told me Jim Mora gave such cheerful answers about his players it was hard to take him seriously.

But USC’s Pro Day also generated some criticism from the scouts.

“You know what disappoints me?” one said. “Those Wonderlic scores. What the hell’s going on here at USC?”

  3. Gargamel, why do you delete my comments? Is it because you don’t like people pointing out that you are a liar, and make up comments to attract readers?

    • HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!!! Poor Golly-Nerd! Cheer up, the Emerald City Comic Con Convention is just around the corner.

    • For the record:

Comments are moderated collectively by a group of staff. Those comments containing an abundance of swearing, personal attacks and extremely offensive language will be deleted.

Keeping comments clean and to the point while sticking to the issues will assure they post with no issues.

      Thanks for reading.

        • **Way to go**? You do have a way with words, you sly rascal. However, your blatant attempt to suck-up to Gina, the Emerging Platforms Director | managing mobile, social media & data projects for the Los Angeles News Group, will not give you the immunity you need and desire. You are grossly underestimating her.
          Level playing field for all…forever!

      • For the record:

First: Gargamel does make up quotes. You can not say that he does not, since to do so would be the equivalent of claiming that you can prove a negative, which is mathematically and logically impossible to do.

Second: How low is the talent pool at the LA Daily News that Gargamel is still employed? An individual that writes for a blog titled, “Inside USC,” should occasionally publish some proprietary information. He has NEVER provided any inside information. Just half-truths and falsehoods.

Third: How can the LA Daily News endorse Gargamel’s lecherous behavior with regard to Lane Kiffin? At what point do you pull the plug and hire a real journalist/blogger to do the job?

        • Exactly, my same thoughts! He’s allowed this blog to become a breading ground for ruin trolls

        • Poor Golly-Nerd gets owned once again. You should try the Star Wars blogs. You could be King of the Nerds there.

        • ***lecherous behavior with regard to Lane Kiffen?** Now that does give one pause for thought. Better watch out or Gina, Emerging Platforms Director | managing mobile, social media & data projects for the Los Angeles News Group, is gonna getcha.

          • We’re only here to keep excessive derogatory language and personal attacks to a minimum. Lively discussion is always welcome.

            Thanks for reading.

        • Hello, reader.

          Thanks for your response.

Please feel free to present factual evidence to the contrary of any of our bloggers or individual posts. We welcome it, actually. Links to authoritative sources are generally the best way to offer such information in an online forum — as is identifying yourself, since credibility is always key. That also gives other readers the chance to weigh on on the validity of the post and/or the challenge.

Do note that our commenting system will occasionally put comments with outside links — or lengthier comments in general — into a holding queue for review, so they may take a bit to show up. It’s mechanical, though, not a conspiracy.

If there’s cause for a correction, we will certainly do so.

          As always, thanks for reading.

  4. OK we all know going “inside” on Ucla will reveal the dark underbelly of collegiate football smothered with lies and falsehoods, but what about SC Wolf? How do we get on the “inside” of what we want to hear about? This post proves your worth – and let me tell you, I bet a web-page filled with up-skirt shots of Charlie Bucket would get better reviews than this garbage!

    • Wolf has posted relevant SUCC information (“Those Wonderlic scores. What the hell’s going on here at USC.”). You just don’t like the information; so you do what SUCC fans do best: Whine, scream, and threaten to take your ball and go home.

  5. Wolfman in all fairness, the boys probably thought it was a Wonder what your Licking test, ha!

  6. RE: the UCLA 40 times not being credible?
Did no one other than Mora have a stopwatch that day?

  7. USC admits athletes with the bare minimum allowed by the NCAA. UCLA has higher academic standards (SAT scores have to be higher than NCAA, and USC); Stanford of course has even higher score requirements. What were the scouts expecting? Maybe USC should follow UCLA and Stanford’s requirements, but that would really hurt recruiting…

    • If would applaud SUCC’s lower admission standards if SUCC was actually, successfully graduating lower qualified students (LQS). SUCC’s mission is to prepare its students for life in the next 50 future years. SUCC’s LQS athletic admission is totally w/o merit if those specific athletes are leaving SUCC unprepared to meet regular life’s formidable challenges.

        • I don’t do Yiddish/Pig Latin. Bone up on Geo. Orwell. He said roughly, why bother writing something no one can understand. Watch out Lar Dog, your wife is holding a frying pan.

          • Orwell was spot on regarding many things, however in this instance, my only concern was a target population with an N of but 1…and that not be ye. So here we are, some
30 years removed (2014) and we observe a modernistic shift…from BIG BROTHER IS WATCHING! to GINA (the Emerging Platforms Director | managing mobile, social media & data projects for the Los Angeles News Group) IS WATCHING! Had best mind your Ps and Qs or she gonna getcha. As far as the pig latin is concerned… itebay eMay.

      • Really. Again the first step is telling yourself what am I doing on this board. 2nd step is going outside seeing the sun. Anybody that puts as much effort to keep somebody else down is really in need of a lot couch time with somebody listening

        • Intervention would be a start. Dr. T Bone might be his only hope, sad but true!

        • Very nice Feet in the mouth. I’ve got to hand it to you, you’ve created a one paragraph non sequitur. Thanks for complementing my original point.

    • Dude, that is total crap. Any fing moron that can run the football can get into ucla

      • The facts are that UCLA has higher standards than USC. You are entitled to your own opinion, but not your own facts. Do your research before you blurt out nonsense. You sound like a CSUN grad.

        • There is not one football player that went to USC because they could not get into UCLA, and there is not one USC player that UCLA did not recruit because of academic standards. That is a fact.

Stanford, on the other hand, yes.

  8. Always grinding the ax, pathetic!
….and still butt hurt about the cheerios!

  9. No doubt about it, SUCC fans are whack. They dislike the ugly truth about SUCC: the professional sports team.

      • You go tell em’ Nubsie! Tell him about your YACHT, the Mansions in Newport and Manhattan, and tell him about your Private Jet! You go Nubsie…..because we know what the “bs” in “nobs” stands for. Just make sure the next time you deliver my Pizza..it isn’t cold! (keep the change kid!)
        fit Un!

        • ….and your prize possession is a faux Lew Alcindor special. It must suck to be poor!

PS…Did you enjoy the chocolate chips on your last pizza?

      • So did Whitey Bulger. You don’t have a thimble full of self esteem do you. I’m happy, you aren’t, and you never will be.

  10. That is a nice attempt at a joke, except there is no Wonderlic test done at anyone’s pro day. Oops.

    • Didn’t have to be. Most of the SUCC players flunked the Wonderlic at the NFL combine.
