USC Morning Buzz: Jordan McLaughlin Leads Etiwanda To Playoff Victory

Michael Owen Baker/Los Angeles Daily News

Point guard Jordan McLaughlin played despite a torn labrum in his shoulder and scored 17 points with six assists to lead Etiwanda to a 64-51 victory over El Camino Real in the CIF state tournament.

“I played through it, it’s a mind-set thing,” McLaughlin said.

McLaughlin, who signed with USC in November, will undergo surgery after the season.

  1. SUCC fans did you notice Bruin fans didn’t go berserk and stampede to the court after UCLA cinched the Pac 12 Tournament Championship over #1 seed Arizona Wildcats 75 – 71. BTW, SUCC has recruited a gamer in McLaughlin and I bet he watched the Pac 12 Championship game. UCLA rules LA BB.

  2. Get it right…..UCLA fans did not STORM the Court after winning The Pac-12 Basketball Tournament against a team previously voted #1 in the Country, however….succ fans did storm the field after an in conference regular season game against Stanford (almost 1 year after the Football team was kicked out of the fine city of El Paso).
