USC Morning Buzz: It’s All About The Quarterbacks As Spring Break Begins

Steve Sarkisian said he never waited until the fall to name a starter but did not rule it out either. Above, Max Browne said he thinks 15 practices would be enough. I think he deserves more than that to prove himself.

  1. Scott….I have typed alot of sheeeeit on here about you. Its just frustration in one way or another. I want to thank you for this blog. I come here for stories, and they don’t need to be “super dooper inside stuff.” People don’t even realize, ESPN even links to this blogs on some stories. As a 1990 USC grad, and an Aeromexico Captain, THANKS.

    • Does you madre know you’ve escaped the casa and you’re making a macho pendejo of yourself. Personally, I will never fly Aeromexico because they hire Elmer Fudd pilots such as yourself. I mean you have the communication skills of a below average of fifth grader.

      • **Does YOU madreā€¦**

** I mean you have the communication skills of a below average OF fifth grader.**

Me Tarzan, you Jane. Your eloquence overwhelms us all, removing any doubt as to who is the pendejo. Watch your boca, or Gina busta u chops.

        • Mistake noted and the truncated Lincoln quote again, thanks Lar Dog. The **…OF fifth grader. ** bit is sizzling repartee. You Cheetah the Chump-Chimp, Lar Dog, that’s why your wife continues smack your face with a frying pan. No need for your hackney stats formula to predict another frying pan smack very soon.

        • Hi, Larry. Now he adds racism to stupidity. Well, they are often found together.

    • You speak for many of us who experienced the high of the 2005 BCS championship and then the agony of the dismantling of the program by the NCAA.

  2. Scotty last year you said a starter should be named by end of spring now your saying its not a long enough? Your the gift that keeps on giving. Cue up the 8 clap for Bruin trolls. At least Ray thinks you have some value.

    • I agree with Scott. I’m surprised that you don’t see any material difference between the two competitions. Last year, there were two QBs who (1) had roughly the same game experience; (2) entered USC in the same year; (3) received identical college coaching. This year pits last year’s starter vs. a touted redshirt freshman. Is it not obvious that a longer competition is likely to level the playing field between the two, and give the less experienced competitor more time to prove himself?

Plus, I don’t see what Scott’s blog entry has to do with UCLA 8 claps.

I notice that your comment got three thumbs up, so perhaps I’m not seeing the situation correctly. Please, I encourage you or any of those three persons to enlighten me. I always like to learn.

      • Just wait for Gargamel to contradict himself. If Kessler is named starting QB and he underperforms, Gargamel will then claim that Sark should have named Browne starting QB in the spring. He contradicts himself and is inconsistent on many topics. No one second guesses with better hindsight than Gargamel.

  3. Basketball season and the upcoming BIG DANCE are what most sports fans across the U.S. are paying attention to right now (I say “Most sports fans”…because I’m all too aware of the Torgan Family guy who doesn’t miss listening to SUCC basebawl for FREEEEEE on the internet) The Casinos in Vegas LOVE this time of year and the action it brings. Speaking of Vegas…UCLA won the Pac 12 Tournament, handing conference favorite U of A…its 4th loss of the year…and prompting one Tucson sports writer to comment….”1st Arizona loss of the season where the court wasn’t stormed”….Can you imagine If SUCC had been in the Championship Game and won…….oh never mind, silly me. Almost 1 year ago, U Stupid Clowns were saying Seinfeld was the answer….and now after his first season….a whole lotta you knuckleheads are calling for his head? One thing I know for sure….The Worst is OVER….Andy finished in LAST PLACE and that whole “LIMBO U” thing don’t apply to Seinfeld. He’s hit BOTTOM!
That goodness for SUCC Spring Football, ESPN, and Shelley (where’s the Buffet) Smith….
    fit Un!

  4. USC is going to have to play Brown in the Fresno State opening game for at least one full quarter or more because Game 2 is Stanford and if Stanford knocks out Kessler then USC won’t have a QB with any experience. USC has to prepare Brown in Spring and Fall to be game ready whether he is starter or not. His recent interview indicates someone who has matured.

The strategy of UCLA, Stanford and many other teams last year was to knock the first string players out due to thin USC reserves. This year USC has at least 2 deep at most positions but it won’t be until the second half of the season that most of the newer players will improve enough to contribute. Fortunately, Notre Dame is last game of season — with luck of few injuries at critical positions and development of newer players, USC could possibly be in a position to take a shot at Notre Dame in the Coliseum.

  5. He is going to screw Browne by stringing him along into fall so he doesn’t or can’t transfer!

    • Highly possible, but I still say Sark will start Browne. K is the better and more reliable B/U. SUCC can’t afford to lose Browne until Town makes it official 2/15.
