Toa Lobendahn At Left Guard

Freshman Toa Lobendahn practiced with the first team at left guard yesterday after spending the first week at center. This a Pete Carroll-era move, allowing freshmen time with the starters to see how they perform. But it also demonstrates that Max Tuerk will be the starting center. I’m not sure why so many fans thought someone else would play center before spring practice.
If you can’t snap the ball, the rest of the play doesn’t matter.

  • Sage wisdom, this is!

There is no Try to snap ball

There is only Do or Do Not!

Trouble on the O-line I sense

I know why many fans thought someone else would play center. It’s because this wasn’t Tuerk’s first go at center, and the first couple of times around, it worked better with another player.

Strange post considering that Gargamel asked numerous times on this blog as to who would be starting center. That was until a reader pointed out that Max Tuerk was taking all of the first team snaps at center. Now, we learn that it’s supposedly been blindingly obvious. I can’t believe the LA Daily News can’t find someone better to do Gargamel’s job.

I think Barkley wished that Max Turd had played center after half time!
