Coliseum Questions

If you have a question/concern you would like me to ask USC regarding the Coliseum renovation, post it here.

  1. will the renovations be identical to those depicted in the artist rendering you posted last week?

  2. What is the timeframe for the renovations and will the team have to relocate for a season?

  3. How much structural and exterior changes are you allowed to make without violating the Coliseum’s historic landmark status?

  4. Are there any proposals to add a canopy/roof to provide deafening home field advantage… Errr I mean shade?

  5. It is starting to look like you either took the master lease to the coliseum without having a plan to finance the renovations or always intended on foisting this tax on your season ticket holders to start with. Which is it?

Given the increase in revenues created by the PAC-12 network – which by the way moves game time for at least one game a season into daily commutes in Los Angeles on the busiest commuting day of the week when a substantial portion of the game day parking is not available (making one game per season that we are paying for but probably not able to attend) – don’t you already have a source of financing the improvements to the Coliseum? How much more “change” do you expect the fans to “grin and bear” before we decide to do something else with our money?

Has the University looked at hiring an event promoter to generate revenues from the Coliseum for more than just football?

    • The Coliseum Commission is laughing their heads off right now. They put off making any improvements to the stadium because (a) they didn’t have any money to do it, and (b) even if they did, they knew they would never be able to get a return on it. Now, after all Haden’s bullshit posturing, it appears we didn’t have the money either and the joke is on the season ticket holders!

  6. Which is less tolerable, a migraine headache or dealing with me, Gargamel?
    I complain a lot, don’t I?
Am I the worst beat writer in college football?
How did I graduate from USC with a journalism degree when I routinely torture the English language?
Have you ever seen someone always find the negative in everything and complain so much?
Why do you always run away from me?

    • Wolf has stated repeatedly he doesn’t read the posted comments. Therefore, your comments are vacuous. *art’s get a constructive hobby.

      • Then why is he asking people to post questions here, moron?

        • Simple, eight ball, Wolf stated he will answer questions about pending mausoleum renovations. It seems that one simple sentence is beyond your comprehension. Forget hobbies *art’s, learn to read.

          • I don’t know what you read, but Wolf definitely did not say he would answer any questions. He simply asked readers to submit questions that they would like to ask USC.

  7. Will the field be moved any farther East to make the Blue seats worth a PSL? How will they replace the bleachers? Will the two giant scoreboards be removed from the peristyle?

  8. When are those tacky portable bleachers on the East end of the field going to be removed so the field can be centered back as originally and the bleachers at the east end used again rather than wasted on stupid jerseys?

  9. Why not have them re do the survey and ask the season ticket holders what they really want and how much they are willing to pay for it.

  10. Things they should install:
    1. Fancy fountain show set to music
    2. Lasershow
    3. Zip-line
    4. Petting zoo
    5. Fireman’s pole (really tall)
    6. Longest urinal trough ever
    7. Beer tent
    8. Color Me Mine
    9. Birds that deliver concessions
    10. Classic arcade games

  11. Is USC still considering tearing down the Sports Arena and building a pro Soccer Stadium jointly financed with one of the local MLS teams. Seems like a good way for USC to generate revenue to pay the bills for operating the coliseum complex.

  12. Are any changes being contemplated that would either bring the seats closer to the field or change the line of sight from the stands to the field?

  13. How many loyal long time alumni season ticket holders does Pat Haden expect to
lose by proposing to tax them $4000 a season seat during this economic Depression?
