USC Morning Buzz: Which Local Schedule Worth $4,000 A Seat?

NBC.WEATHER

UCLA announced it would play LSU in 2021 at Rose Bowl. So let’s look at the future marquee opponents for local schools:
USC: BYU, Notre Dame, Tennessee, Texas
UCLA: Michigan, Oklahoma, Rutgers, Texas A&M, Texas, LSU
If USC wants people to shell out $4,000 for a personal-seat license, it might want to at least be able to say it offers as good a nonconference schedule as the crosstown rival.

    • There’s no need to schedule Michigan as USC usually plays them on New Year’s Day in Pasadena!!!

  1. I’m sure by the time these games take place, UCLA will have fallen back off the map. The teams that scheduled them know this and see an easy win.

    • That’s possible in UCLA’s case, but we do know SUCCster’s in 2014 will be eating stale Hot Box Burritos and have to pay a 4 large PSL to watch a mediocre SUCC football team at the mausoleum. UCLA rules LA football.

      • Nothing has been finalized. A survey was sent out. Therefore, no, USC fans will not be paying a PSL in 2014.

      • So lets see . In those baseball, basketball and football bRUIN you girls have 13 NC. USC has 23. In the past 15 yrs we’ve won 1 baseball NC and 2 FB NC, as for the bRUINS, you’ve only won 1 baseball NC. Hardly owing or dominating us in those 3 sports. You girls don’t own anything.

        • Get your facts straight. No team in college football has ever been recognized as winning a national championship because the ncaa doesn’t recognize a champion that hasn’t won via a playoff. So your point is null and void. You’ve won as many national championships as ucla and every other football team in college. Zero! Win the first ever playoff. Them you can bragg.

          • Typical no answer from SUC fan with no facts to back up his statement. Smh.

          • Only a fan of a team that hasn’t won a full title would say something as stupid as that.

          • Yup. Oh I’m sorry. How many “mythical titles” do y’all claim? What is it? Like up to 20 now? Lol. Smh.

    • I don’t know what map they’ll be on, but they’re a lock to whip us for the third straight time…..or does anyone think Kessler can lead us to a victory over Hundley?

We MAY have a chance against the Rudys at home, though (if Golson is ineligible again).

  2. This is an excellent point Scott, thank-you for mentioning it!!! When I filled out the Coliseum Renovation Survey from the Athletic Department, I added in the notes two items that needed to be addressed prior to me even thinking about paying any more for my seats:
    * Weekday games
    * Poor quality of non-conference opponents
Hopefully, someone in the Athletic Department (besides an intern) will actually read the survey comments.

    • They will, and won’t care. Ask how many of the employees in the athletic dept, besides Orr, that are members of C&G? Or anything else for that matter.

  3. Wolf, you truly are a tool! Sounds like another slow day at the playground. No one gives a shlt about games 8 years away, especially ones involving ucla. What would kiffin think?

    PS…Dementia is some nasty stuff!

  4. i think the Illuminati, working in concert with the Free Masons, both under the auspices of the Trilateral Commission, are behind this push to charge us with PSL’s. the Cadre is probably also involved, since the members of the Jedi Council are Charter members of the Illuminati.

i got you this time, Bucket you Carpet-Bombing diablo!!

    • Bucket,

Be careful how you use your many bogus accounts or you’ll confuse poor Thaimex again.

  5. That is a little misleading. Notre Dame is four games over the next eight years. Variety is nice, but I would rather have Notre Dame at home every other year. And it is even better when it is the last game of the year. That said, I will still not pay for a seat license.

  6. Frankly, they look pretty comparable to me. It is a little difficult to know how things pan out so far down the road, but based upon history, both schools have done a nice job with out of conference scheduling.

Only UCLA, USC and ND have never scheduled an FCS schoool. I hope that never changes.

  7. Ever since USC destroyed Oklahoma in the 2005 Orange Bowl nobody out of conference has wanted to play them. A&M canceled their series with USC when they joined the SEC only to reschedule with UCLA.
