It was officially announced that last night’s email to students was a prank by the USC honor society, Skull and Dagger. The problem with such a prank by a sanction USC organization is that it hurts the ticket office, which gets to field complaints. And it also hurts the athletic dept. reputation, especially as personal-seat licenses are not a prank.
That USC allows an official campus organization to pretend to speak on its behalf is troublesome.
This one was pretty good, but hiring Kiffin as HC was a heck of a prank. I don’t know if they’ll ever top that one.
That’s a good one. I think having Wolf covering SC football is a close second.
Wow, Scott, thanks for exposing this horrible prank. This is, indeed, the most important USC football news of the week. No one here cares about what actually happens in spring practice. This type of reporting, plus potential PSLs and Alabama OC Lane Kiffin news is much more important.

BTW, didn’t the LA Times just report that yet another UCLA basketball player and family took money from “would-be” agents? Scott, you must break this news as well, just as your broke the news about Hawaii coach Norm Chow not speaking to the media. All this important news obviously overshadows what’s happening with the USC Football team right now on the practice field.
