Steve Sarkisian told me back in February that Adoree Jackson would start off his USC career as a defensive player. He confirmed that in an interview on the USC radio show. But yesterday, in a group media session, he was asked where Jackson would play and mentioned him practicing on both sides of the ball.
Sarkisian never actually said he would be a defensive player first. This is what happens sometimes when a coach is surrounded by a bunch of reporters. Caution suddenly reigns. Jackson has always been expected to try to be a two-way player. But the defense is expected to be the first priority. USC’s secondary depth makes that a necessity.
Imagine my surprise — I was doing a google search for “goes both ways,” and it led me right back here to this Adoree Jackson post on the good old Inside USC blog. I guess every journey really does lead you back to where you start.
Try google search “santorum” and see if Wolfy’s picture shows up
Was Wolf associated with Santorum somehow?
I heard that with the peeping Tom now doing his/her thing in the communal locker rooms (seriously communal?), Ugly is changing their mascot to the Pedobear!
Ray, that joke doesn’t even make any sense. Why would a “pedobear” want to peep at college-age kids?
You trolls come here and insult high school and college kids….kids…..You have to be proud.
How does that joke insult Jackson? It was rather self-deprecating, if anything.
I’m guessing the problem was your safesearch was on
Is that the thing the court makes me wear on my ankle?
How do you know UGLY trolls are full of sheeeit? They type on Scott’s blog.
Google this west hollywood Rob…..
UCLA – 72 men, 38 women = 110 total
Stanford – 61 men, 43 women = 104 total
USC – 83 men, 16 women = 99 total
Take away women’s softball and gymnastics and the ruins are behind SC…two sports SC doesn’t have. Men’s #1
Whose fault is it that we don’t compete in softball and gymnastics?
I don’t know marv. Private school thing? I have no idea and I haven’t googled it to find out.
Had this classy young man with phenomenal football talent signed a letter of intent to play for your favorite team, you would be singing his praises far and wide. Since he chose to play for USC and not your favorite team, you make tasteless comments about him while you hide. What have you ever accomplished in your life, you little snot? Your comments on this blog leave no doubt that either your testicles have yet to drop or you don’t have any.
Mrs. C, that joke is not actually about Jackson, but, importantly, I thought we already talked about this. When I was in prison, I earned the nickname “Big Snot” the hard way. I slaved away, night day, sharpening a tooth brush into a shiv. Then one day in the yard, I went up to the biggest, baddest dude in the cell block, and I sneezed all over him, and then I ran and hid under my bunk with my shiv.
If you wanna talk snot, you talk BIG SNOT, sister.

Gargamel is the reason people don’t like the media. He tortured Sark’s comments into a bunch of nonsense. Good job. Your own comments are proof of why much of the media is either not respected or loathed.
It’s that Wolfian logic that Scottie is known for.
I found it amusing that Scottie calls himself a reporter.
I have been interviewed a few times by reporters i.e. did a Michael Jackson trial once, and they always get something wrong. I don’t think they care.
John, my take is that A. Jackson wants to play offense, as does J. Smith. So let them try to do so. There is very little future in recruiting 5-star players, and then denying their position preferences. I think Sark has a high emotional IQ, and knows that.
If either (or both) comes in and shows that he deserves significant early playing time at WR, let him play there. You and I know that won’t be easy at WR, especially if Mitchell is 100%, and Farmer miraculously stays healthy. No 5-star wants to sit, but he deserves his shot to play where he wants. The rest will take care of itself.
Everyone wants to be the next Myles Jack. There’s only one Miles Jack and he lives on the good side of town!
