Is Josh Shaw At Corner Or Safety?

Josh Shaw said at the start of spring practice he would play cornerback next season. He is sitting out the spring because of a foot injury. But today Steve Sarkisian hedged a bit when talking about who starts at safety.

“Potentially we could have Josh Shaw back there too,” he said.

One scenario is Adoree Jackson comes in and quickly wins a cornerback spot and then Shaw can move back to safety. Or maybe someone else develops (I doubt it) and Shaw moves back. Otherwise he plays cornerback.

  1. Adoree starts somewhere, and cornerback fits the mold !

That said, give him the ball on offense, lets just see what he can do…

    FightOn

  2. USC is lucky to have someone like Shaw available. He will play wherever the biggest need is. If McQuay/Bowman can’t step-up at safety, then Shaw moves to safety to play with Cravens. If Hawkins/Seymour/Brown/Henderson/Jackson can’t perform, then he stays at corner. I wouldn’t be surprised if he plays both positions sometime during the season.

Look for Shaw to have a great year and be the first Trojan drafted next year.

  3. Hawkins is developing too.. If he stays healthy he will be a monster by end of the year
