  1. Hey Cheap Lies, would it be fair to call Sark’s new offense “road kill stew”?

      • Fair enough. But will you, if imposed, pay 4k per PSL based on today’s spring game offensive performance?

  2. The Pac 12 channel made the whole thing a bore. Instead of covering the action they spent the time talking to people on the sideline and babbling about nothing in particular.

  3. No offense touch downs for a spring game? Its going to a long season trojan fans

  4. This coverage is a joke. If opinions are desired as to what transpired, go to the WeRSC site.

    • Thanks for the link. I did think that the more detailed coverage there did little to change my first impression from hearing the QB stats, or anything that Scott wrote.

I’m not sure what it really foretells for the Fall.

USC did not lose a lot of critical 2013 players on defense, from a defense that ranked high–despite material disappointments vs. ASU and UCLA. Quite probably, the offense will face only a few better defenses than it faces every day in practice.

The OL was predicted to be a possible problem after significant departures, and may be an actual problem. I know–some OLs and RBs were missing Saturday–that might change the balance. Still, Scott’s use of the word “uninspiring” doesn’t seem overly provocative. Do you disagree?

  5. For those who were looking for some actual updates from the game, here are some:

    – George Farmer wore a yellow “no contact” shirt for obvious reasons. Actually had a decent game
    – 6’9″ Zach Banner looks like a man playing with boys. Didn’t look like he moved anyone at the point of attack and needs to move his feet better against pass rushing ends
    – Jalen Greene seemed to have a better game than Max Browne
    – Max Browne ran a few option-read plays and kept the ball for minimal gains. Is he really a running threat?

  6. Around the country at Ohio State, Alabama, SC and elsewhere, any championships won at the spring games?
