Mike Garrett Pulls A Stunner

Former USC athletic director Mike Garrett is now the athletic director at Langston University in Oklahoma and just hired Stan Holt as his basketball coach. In 2010, Holt was the manager of the USC basketball team. He was fired after getting a technical foul in a game against Oregon although Coach Kevin O’Neill later reinstated him.

Nowhere in the announcement does it say that Holt’s ever coached basketball. This is a story that is too good to make up.

Are you implying that your “not so good” stories ARE made up?

This story just in (and it’s a good one!): A university that no one has ever heard of hired a basketball coach with limited experience. At first I thought, “No, that has to be a made up story” but I guess it’s actually true.
