UCLA Returns Donald Sterling Money

DTS.2

UCLA announced today that it would not accept a $3 million donation from banned Clippers owner Donald Sterling. I mentioned the above ad Sunday so it is good to note the university returned the money.

UCLA also confirmed what any Sterling watcher knows: He bought the above ad, which means he thanked himself for the donation.

  1. It’s pretty typical of the Bruins and the Clippers to make LA look bad – I hope people can see the beauty of LA through the dense smog that is in the form of these institutions – If they could, they would see USC.

    • f ucla did the right thing returning Sterlings $3 million. We should return Arnold’s $20 million.

      • Don’t pick on the Sperminator. He is obviously in favor of immigration reform. And Sterling? He is a segregationist by day and an integrationist by night. They are a great pair!

      • Sure, it was the right thing…..just tell that to someone that need dialysis.

    • L.A.
Uptight, city in the smog, city in the smog.
Don’t you wish that you could be here too?

  2. Somewhere deep in the bowels of Donald T. Sterling & Associates, an unpaid intern labored long and hard with a dull pair of scissors to cut out those photos and paste them into that ad.

There is something very Trump-esque about including the very specific detail of the “gold-colored plaque.”

    • Don also looks considerably younger here than in any other photo or image of him that has surfaced lately.
I suppose the intern didn’t have access to something more up to date.

  3. Where’s the picture of V. Stiviano? This Donald as opposed to The Donald gets approval from his wife to have a girlfriend. How understanding!

    • fugly only “got it” after the news today that he was banned from the NBA. fugly didnt make a peep before that, even though his comments were publicized.

      • We simply waited for the Comish to validate it was Sterling on the tape. Then within hrs we made our move….THST’S HOW IT’S DONE, BOYEEEE!!

        • Right. What a lousy university and program. It’s sad the tax payers have to foot the bill for a bunch of losers.

        • Actually there was no need to wait for the comish to validate as Sterling has a LONG history of racism. UCLA just chose to ignore that in favor of the dollars. Don’t feel sorry for yourself, the LA NAACP acted the same way.

And I do find it very telling what kind of person Sterling is when he paid for an advertisement congratulating himself for making the contribution and making it look like the advertisement came from UCLA.

  4. So would Scott Wolf take $3mm from Donald Sterling or would he turn it down if asked to write a character piece? I think he might…

  5. Priceless

Because of the format of the ad it seemed apparent that SUCLA had taken out the ad.

But Mr. Self-Congratulatory took out the ad.

    This is one unbelievable cat

But the “set-up” by the ex-girlfriend will resonate with people for a long time i.e. be careful what you say on the telephone

    • You’re a LAWYER, right? Turns out STERLING recorded the conversations, not, “V”. When you need a Lawyer real bad…..call a really bad Lawyer!
      fit Un Knucklehead!

  6. Right, AFTER the NBA slaps the guy’s face. Had to wait to see if they could keep the dirty money. Typical

    • hey man, sorry about your hero Donald Sterling going down….BANNED!!! just like you have been many times on this blog!!

and after you said he was taken out of CONTEXT!!!

i suggest as a silent protest, you turn T-Fail’s panties inside out.

      • haha! I have to admit…that was pretty funny Bucket! {it was even funnier because it was directed at the idiot bigot}

      • The only good panties are the ones hanging down by the ankles

        PS….jockstraps don’t count!

  7. The penalties were a bit surprising…especially in light of the connective bond between the Clipper’s owner and the NBA commish…Sterling Silver?????????
