USC senior Kirby Burnham and freshman Sara Hughes won the pairs’ title at the AVCA sand volleyball national championship with a 21-15, 21-13 victory over Hawaii’s Karissa Cook and Brittany Tiegs at Gulf Shores, Ala. It is the second straight year Burnham’s won the pairs’ title.
