As expected, offensive tackle Roy Hemsley from Los Angeles Windward committed to USC.

“USC is the right fit and the best college for me,” Hemsley said.

  1. With the sanctions and the Lane Kiffin era in the rear view mirror for USC, one gets the sense that the powers within the college football world are returning to normal. UCLA’s “time in the sun” is on death watch.

        • Exactly…. the trolls enjoy using inflammatory words such as “excuses”……Almost anyone can understand that sanctions, scholarship reductions and an incompetent coach are legitimate reasons for most our problems, and we would not use them as excuses….

      • USC played the ruins with 47 healthy players last year. In warm ups, it looked like UCLA had twice the players that USC did. Call it an excuse if you want, but the fact is, virtually no other program in the country could have withstood the penalties USC has had to endure, and still win 10 games last year. Public school will ALWAYS be what it is, and nothing more. USC will return to its place in football shortly.

            When USC owns UCLA, we are playing in the Rose Bowl or National Championship.

            When UCLA “owns LA”, they get blown out in the Holiday Bowl.

          • And ends the 2012 season losing 21-7 to a sub-.500 Georgia Tech team. The unfinished business 7-6 record loser season comes to an ugly end. Then in 2013 SUCC’s FB program goes through four (4) HC’s in last than one season. The 2014 SUCC spring game produces NO TD’s on short 60yd. field. Yea SUCC!

        • Colin Kowkrap works for ESPN. SUCC: the University has a contract with ESPN Radio to broadcast all SUCC FB games. Therefore, Kowkrap constantly shills for SUCC’s mediocre FB program. Is it any wonder why UCLA is never a topic.

    • Disagree on both counts PT. Currently, UCLA better in football and overall academics….although SC has closed the gap academically and better in some areas of study.

    • As of this moment (which means little), Mora has recruited a higher rated class than 7-Win Sark. By next February, both schools will have excellent classes. SC’s will be rated higher as they have 25 scholarships available and UCLA around 15. But…enjoy your day.

      Just wonder..Joe B Lowe Normal….Obama is speaking at SC this week. Will you and Comrade Rusoviet be there to listed to your favorite President?

          • Would your opinion apply to SUCC Univ. administration, who recently silenced SUCC students protesting a certain Corporate entity on SUCC’s campus. As I recall, SUCC’s Admin. threatened to suspend the students if their protest wasn’t terminated ASAP.

      • Name your poison. UCLA is temporarily ahead because they have 7 commits. We have but 5 (Actually, probably only 4 as it is doubtful that Sills will be wearing C&G next season). The 25-15 stuff only cuts it with the current ranking system of commits. To me a better measure is an arithmetic mean # of *s. Actually, right now UCLA would be behind with a 5,4,4,4,3,3,3…= 3.71. USC has a 5,4,4,3…= 4.0 (with or without Sills, a 4*). USC certainly should be ahead in Feb due to having a superior N. Not that a modicum of importance shouldn’t be attributed to this method but bottom line…We both know that this is basically caca. Let’s stick with “Average” Star count and see where everyone is in Feb. I will wager a hot dog that the numbers will favor USC. How can you not accept? It gives no credence to the massive number imbalance…just quality, not quantity… and taking away ‘before the fact’ excuses.

        • As I said, both classes will be excellent. Not making excuses at all. Star ratings can be very misleading. Only result that matters is on the field. I fully expect another Bruin victory in Pasadena this year. 2015 will be very interesting as Sark will be able to add more depth by then and Hundley will be gone from UCLA.

          • And you’ll be right back where you’ve always been: Looking UP at USC.
