They could have just as easily included Duke, Louisville, Kansas, Florida or Connecticut…….

hey Dummy, how does it feel to have your own beat writer kicking your crotch incessantly?? OUCH!!

      • UCLA Bleauz

Sometimes a cigar is just a cigar…. but thank you for that….

        • Internal Monologue

I wonder if you said “sometimes a snake is just a snake” then Mr. Bucket would be disappointed?

          • UCLA Bleauz

Engaging directly with the trolls is often pointless and counterproductive……

      • Internal Monologue

I wonder if Mr. Bucket’s low self esteem is responsible for his violent thoughts against others?

        • UCLA Bleauz

It’s a textbook case study for any high school psych class…..

    • SUCC de trop

SUCC came close in 1954. Props to SUCC basketball: Mighty SUCC: 0 for the last 60 chances – major goosegg.

      • UCLA Bleauz

        Thanks for the history lesson……..

        • SUCC de trop

          Just the facts, Bleauz.

          • UCLA Bleauz

You are clearly the gatekeeper of the truth……….

          • SUCC de trop

No Bleauz, the blog moderator is the truth gatekeeper. It’s never the point whether you’re out or safe at first; it’s what the umpire says that counts.

          • UCLA Bleauz

Surely you jest……the blog moderator does no such thing, and even YOU should know that, your lame baseball metaphor notwithstanding ……

          • SUCC de trop

Not lame enough for you to ignore.

          • Cheap seats

Who’s the gatekeeper to your viginity?

Memo to Cadre: wolfman is on FIRE!!! lets start Preferred Plus Night early!!!

    • Internal Monologue

I wonder why Scott Wolf allows these kinds of comments which are personal attacks on the readers?

      • UCLA Bleauz

#1 Scottie never reads the comments himself (allegedly). It is up to the moderator. You can always flag any offensive comments, if makes you feel better.

#2 By allowing it, it provides a forum for the trolls/haters to fill up the comments after each post and create the illusion to the advertisers on this blog that it is being heavily trafficked by people who may actually buy their stuff

      • Cheap seats

Of course he allows it because the comments section perfectly reflects Scott’s blog.

The Wolfman’s track record at predicting USC basketball coaching success is a mixed bag. It seems like only yesterday, but according to Google it was the June 22, 2009 Morning Buzz post…

“I kind of like the hire. Above everything else, I know O’Neill will outwork everyone. He will come to the office at 5 a.m., recruit like a madman and do everything possible to succeed in his last chance to be a head coach at a large Division I college. Remember, I write this as the guy who championed Oregon State’s Craig Robinson [!], so I’m not disposed to support O’Neill. But I like the fact he coached at Arizona as an assistant and also did that interim stint two years ago, which makes him familiar with the Pac-10… O’Neill’s got a clean reputation. He will also be a disciplinarian and to be honest, last year, the inmates ran the asylum at certain points of the season. He wants to succeed more than anything else. And USC basketball needs a jolt right now. My only caveat with O’Neill is that he really needs to mellow as much as he claims he has since those crazy days at Tennessee.”

    • UCLA Bleauz

Yes, during the O’Neill era, it was more like Drunk City, than Dunk City….

      • WEB_Dupree

KO was just trying to mellow out!

And here is Wolf a day later…

“As I said yesterday, I like the hiring of Kevin O’Neill. And since his hiring antagonized the Internet crowd, I have even more reason to support his hiring. I even like that he doesn’t have a natural crew of assistants that follow him from job to job. He doesn’t need one, he can do the real work himself.”

  • SonOfWestwood

With so few available scholarships, it is a challenge fora”system” coach” to be successful early. It will be at least year three before your offense is running on all cylinders.

    • UCLA Bleauz

      Finally, a voice of reason……

  • john wolcott

Those teams are o.k., although Connecticut, Florida, Kansas and Duke would have been an even better choice.

O.K.,O.K., I get it, SUCLAs ad nauseum, SC is not in the mix, but with SUCLA having one title in 40 years, yes, 40 years, the SUCLAs’ bragging is kind of, aaah, silly and stupid.
