Defensive tackle Jacob Daniel of Fresno, Calif., committed to USC earlier today. He’s been strongly leaning to USC for months and finally made it official today.

Adrian Klemm must be on vacation…. since January.
Interesting that you know of KLEMM….also interesting that not a single UCLA fan (and many So Cal fans) could name So Cal’s top recruiter….as a matter of fact …most of us would be hard pressed to name a SO Cal assistant other than Bo Davis…and he lasted just ONE WEEK!
fit Un!
Congrats, staff – that’s a tough position to fill in any year.
True dat. Can never have enough quality interior linemen, especially on defense.
It is too often ignored that the modern heyday of USC football (2002 to 2008) coincided with an unbroken line of high-quality interior defensive linemen: Mike Patterson, Shaun Cody, Sedrick Ellis, Fili Moala. Since Jurrell Casey, no USC DT has been drafted. (Uko the latest flameout).
That will change with Leonard Williams.
Absolutely! I think Interior D Line is where the SEC just dominates the rest of the country as well–just look at the number of interior D Linemen in the NFL that came from SEC schools. I absolutely think this is one of the two areas that has caused USC to slip in the last few years–the other a weak O Line. In essence, USC used to dominate the conference on the line. They don’t anymore. Kiffin was just fine getting 4 and 5 star skill position players. But the game is still won on the line and USC hasn’t recruited on the line very well since the middle part of the last decade. Let’s hope this is a sign of a return to it.
Are you absolutely sure?
Go outside and chase parked cars. This stuff is way over your head.
Exactly! The game is still won or lost in the trenches. Stanford is a classic example
As we’ve seen the last 3 years it is the type of players that come to USC that make up their distinctiveness despite coaching changes. Here is a recruit that would seem to fit that mold of character demonstrating maturity beyond his age. It is a credit to Sark and staff that such a caliber of player is attracted to USC as well. Ricky Town, Chuma Edoga, Jacob Daniel…..hmmm. Is this the start of a very special recruiting class?
I think you’re late, the AARP started an hour ago, idiot!
Sark and staff are doing a bang-up job re personnel. I hope he can deliver a season that hangs onto them.
