USC v. UCLA

GAUNTLET

USC won the Gauntlet over UCLA, 60-55, but it probably should be mentioned the men’s track team (pictured above) actually lost to the Bruins in the dual meet.

  1. It probably should be mentioned, and thanks to you, it was….Thanks for putting the men’s T&F team in their place, Scottie….. good job!…….

  2. nice catch, wolfman!! puts a whole ‘nother perspective to this defunct, sponsor-less, anachronism.

anyways, Bruins only count NATTYS, not “gauntlets” whatever the heck those are.

    • Since you brought up the subject, Charles, exactly how many “NATTYS” do UCLA have? (yes, using “do” is grammatically correct)….

    • Charles, just to refresh your memory, here is your post from May 10, 2013 when UCLA won the Gauntlet last year:

“SORRY DUMMIES!!! thought you were not gonna get your crotches kicked in??

      AUUUUU-WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

      UCLA = PURE DOMINATION!!!

      thanks for the GUMBALL wolfman!!!

      FOOTBALL, BASKETBALL, BASEBALL, TRACK!!!!!

      UCLA OWNS LA!!!!”

      • my opinion of the Gauntlet has “evolved”.

i thought is was VERY prestigious when Lexus sponsored it, but in retrospect, now that it is UN-SPONSORED, i feel it is just a foolish trifle. a mere distraction from more pressing AD concerns.

        • So will your opinion “evolve”, yet again, should UCLA win it next year?

        • Prestigious because of Lexus. Oh that’s right you drive a 93 Datsun…

  3. Mr. Jenkins marvels at just HOW BAD UCLA spring sports have been if the Trojans could lose to the Bruins in Football, Men’s Basketball, our own “natty” sport Men’s Water Polo and still bring the Gauntlet back to USC.

    • Mr. Jenkins should know that the only thing that matters is who wins football.

  4. Any win over SUCLA in anything feels GOOOOOD! Considering football and basketball get more points, Bruins must suck in everything else!
