what was public school’s excuse losing 12 of 13 before the last 2?? and what is their excuse for never winning a BCS bowl in the entire 15 years of the BCS system? ….while Oregon, Stanford, Utah, Washington, and Oregon State won BCS bowls?? And if playing with 45 to 50 players while other teams have 85 is an excuse, then maybe public school should try playing with that many players….they wouldn’t sniff even 5 wins a year.

UCLA can only CLAIM 1/2 of a NC. No excuses are necessary. What’s SUCC’s excuse in 2006, 12 pt. lead, with 10 minutes to go – SUCC loses to Tixis in final moment. After the game Matty “Hall of Fame” Leinart says SUCC would beat Tixis nine out of 10 times. Boasting after a horrendous loss – pure SUCC. LOL.

None SUCC’s or UCLA 1/2 count. Why would any University take credit for a voted and shared NC. BTW 22, all of SUCC’s “claimed” NC were voted and shared with other College teams in the same year. Real, actual NC’s are settled by tournament competition.

Actually if you understood sanctions you would know the effect lasts a couple years after sanctions are lifted as it will take awhile to get back to the 85 scholarship level. But facts seem to confuse the UCLA scabs.

No excuses from me. ….USC had the same Pac-12 record as UCLA (6-3) and the same number of total victories (10)…..you may recall that we played only 12 players on defense during the last few games of the 2013 season. …and still finished in the top 20……fact…..not excuses. ..
Agree. I’m actually proud of the team the last three years under sanctions. Yes Kiffin sucked as a head coach, but the bottom line is they played pretty well.
Yes Hilary, the 7-6 2012 season was especially gratifying. And though you refuse to admit it, w/o Coach O, the 2013 season would have been worse.
