USC QBs Struggling Early In Philly

SANCHEZ.PHILLY

Matt Rourke/Associated Press

The Eagles are conducting player workouts and early reports suggest Mark Sanchez and Matt Barkley are struggling. Sanchez (above left) is clearly No. 2 behind Nick Foles (right). But Barkley is splitting reps at No. 3 with G.J. Kinne, which can’t make him happy.

They should not be on that team anyway..

  • Juan Carlos

Tomorrow I will be going to the Long Beach Aquarium to research the aquatic life. After my excursion I am going to try the food at Callaloo Kitchen, also in Long Beach. I am looking forward to my day.

Memo to Cadre: what assets do we have in LB??

      • UCLA Bleauz

Just place a call to Ripples and you’ll have your answer…..

      • TrojanFan3.0

You guys control 328 dumpsters and 120 portable toilets, nice assets!

PS…..stay off the Philly blogs, they know who you are

i find it amusing that you trOXans all seem to know this Ripples place, while me, a rather flamboyant open minded “man of the world” has never heard of it.

have you ever actually been in Ripples?

    • Helen

Say Hi to the UCLA scabs working in the kitchen.

  • Joe H

I agree. Kinne is most likely not happy.

    Happy trails Barkley.

  • SaferInWestwood

All they have to do is “Be7ieve” that “Unfinished Business” they have in the league will finish real soon, ha!

    • UCLA Bleauz

Simple question….who was the last UCLA QB to play in the NFL and when? ….there are currently 4 former USC QB’s in the NFL. …In addition to these two, Carson Palmer and Matt Cassell are still floating around. ….

      • SaferInWestwood

Simple Maddox, who was the last QB to win a Super Bowl for the Trojans?? Take your time… .

        • UCLA Bleauz

Very good. ..back in 2005…I wasn’t the one ridiculing QB’S trying to make an NFL team. ..you were. ..I didn’t claim a USC QB ever won a Super Bowl. …you tried to bait me. ..and if you want to take credit for a Oklahoma transfer like Troy Aikman, go for it. …

          • SaferInWestwood

Transfers bish paleeeez, Aikman won for The Mighty Bruins and I know it pains you to know SC QBs can’t get the job done in the league… .

          • UCLA Bleauz

Facts are the facts. ..it’s gotta be embarrassing for you that a UCLA QB hasn’t even taken a snap in the NFL for almost a decade. …what a joke. …

          • SaferInWestwood

Embarrassing kinda like the butt fumble, not even close ha!

          • UCLA Bleauz

That was an incredibly embarrassing and defining moment for Sanchez, to be sure, but he has had a better career than Cade McNown, not that that’s saying very much…..

          • marvgoux1

Both were embarrassments after great college careers. You could tell McNown didn’t have the arm for the NFL, but Sanchez failure is more of a mystery.

          • UCLA Bleauz

I agree…. from the penthouse to the outhouse, in just a few seasons…and Philly isn’t the place for Sanchez either…..I was hoping he would land at either Jacksonville or Cleveland, but they both drafted QB’s in the first round this year, so he is rapidly running out of options…..

          • Juan Carlos

            Excellent point!

          • marvgoux1

What about Matt Moore or J.P. Loseman?

          • UCLA Bleauz

Good call, but neither finished with UCLA…….

          • marvgoux1

So it doesn’t count if they started with UCLA but transferred in and it doesn’t count if they started somewhere else and finished with UCLA? You know OJ was a JC transfer, right?

          • UCLA Bleauz

Yes, I am aware that OJ was a transfer from City College of San Francisco, but he FINISHED his career with USC…..Losman and Moore transferred AWAY from UCLA and finished their college careers elsewhere….

          • ProbationU

Aikman played a lot more ball at UCLA than he did at Oklahoma. Had he pulled a one-year deal like Russell Wilson did at Wisconsin, I think you would have a valid point. That being said, it is no small secret that my Bruins have sucked at QB since McNown who didn’t have much of an NFL career.

Regarding Barkley, he is a backup at best. He needs to spend less time on Twitter responding to Bruins and more time working. He has an average arm at best, small hands and is not much of an athlete as far has elusiveness. He needs to become a “smart” QB. He has thrown a LOT of picks, even as far back as high school. He would have been better off in a different situation, perhaps Denver behind Peyton Manning.

However, he did beat a really bad Bruin team 50-0. He can enjoy that for a long time.

      • Toejam For Life

The Southern Cal QBs will hold the clipboards for cheap!

        • UCLA Bleauz

TJ!…. I’m glad that you were finally able to sneak back across the border…..At least USC QB’s would be able to hold on to the clipboards, instead of fumbling them like Bruin QB’s in the NFL, wherever they might be…..

        • NOBSisdaMAN

          Right, $66M for Sanchez.

  • Helen

And we thought Scottie’s English was bad, here’s a snippet from the article he references above: “you can visually see him checking from one receiver to another”

Visually see him? Is there another way to see without using your eyes that we don’t know about?

    • Juan Carlos

      Another excellent observation!

  • Toejam For Life

Is that Barkley carrying the bags in street clothes?
