BTW….If ridiculous that FIFA wouldn’t allow the Dutch to wear their signature orange jerseys and made Spain wear an all white uniform, sort of like UCLA did against USC a few years ago. …also, Kobe was in attendance! ……

AP reports that FIFA told Spain to wear white instead of Red because the Red was not enough contrast with Dutch Orange. Dutch chose to wear their road blue anyway! Did FIFA make them put Nike Swoosh on their Adidas uniforms!?
I figured that the Brazilian soccer players had to be scared to death of this tournament, because they are expected to win (unrealistically) and if they don’t they know they will be targets of every mental-case, sane or insane, in Brazil.
And sure enough before their first match they said they were excited and terrified. And then they get off to a bad start against Croatia. They must have been sweating bullets.
