Before he dropped that F-bomb at the L.A. Kings’ celebration, Los Angeles mayor Eric Garcetti wrote a letter to George Lucas asking him to build his planned art museum at the site of the Sports Arena.
Lucas is a USC graduate and built the sparking new cinema school but if the Sports Arena is torn down for the proposed museum, what happens to that idea of housing an MLS team (Chivas USA) at the site? Or building extra parking? That seems the least likely option for the site, unfortunately, for those seeking more parking on game days, especially with the increase in midweek home games. I suppose a Lucas Museum would be fine as long as there is a wookie exhibit and no statues of Lucas wearing Nikes as a USC student.
