  1. Why would he even consider ucla? They have not been significant since they started football. They are a waste of time.

    • Look where XSF was drafted last year and look at where any of your OL have been drafted in the last 3 seasons. When it comes to offensive line, we’ve clearly out recruited SC.

        • Yet SC has loss 2yrs in a row, clearly SC has the best players in town, talk about delusional and in love, ha!

          • Last year’s class was stacked with OL for the Bruins. Many of them will get a chance to show their stuff this season. SC’s overrated Dline didn’t even get Hundley jersey dirty last year.

          • When the blind lead the blind, both will fall into the ditch.

          • Well wasn’t Ed O. suppose to be some kind of DLine guru or something of the sort, or was that only before the ND/UCLA games??

          • Is that the explanation for Pat Haden picking the underachieving Sark instead of a top head coach candidate?

      • Well Matt Khalil was the #4 pick in the 2012 NFL draft. So USC’s track record over the last three years is pretty good.

As to whether UCLA has been out recruiting USC lately, UCLA has definitely stepped up its recruiting game on the OLine. Mora is not like Dorrell and Neuheisel in just conceding a recruit to USC if USC wanted him.

        • Don’t discount the fact that we had scholarship limits so the ruins had access to recruits we would normally take. Now that the limits are over let’s see how Mora does now.

          • As i recall Neuhisel recruited well before SC got hit, CMora did beat SC with the guys that were there already so I don’t see why that would change with guys he sees fit for his team; As you already know coaching can be the difference… .

          • My reply is based on you bringing up not having scholarship limitations, if you think #SevenwinSark will have the same kind of impact as Pete Carroll did you’re beyond delusional and to think CMora somehow won’t win a few recruiting battles vs. #SarktheShark is laughable after he already beat him at WAS and most likely do it again… .

          • I don’t think anyone could have recruited against Pete but when he left that gave your program the opening it needed to get back on its feet.

        • During USC’s “timeout” also include Khalid Holmes ’13 and Marcus Martin ’14.

          • Holmes mostly disappointed that year and was eaten alive by Star Lutuleli in the Utah game. He was pushed around so bad in the beginning, he couldn’t even shotgun snap and one led to a defensive touchdown. How many games did he miss in ’12?

Martin was overrated in a watered down draft for centers.

          • He missed so many games he made the coaches all Pac-12 first team as did Martin in 2013. I know! 2013 was a “watered down” year in the PAC-12. How else could UCLA win ten games?

        • Forgot about him. Khalil feels so long ago and there hasn’t been a standout since. Even Donahue said SC’s line has been the weakest he’s known since playing them.

      • You do know the 2012-2014 recruiting classes have absolutely nothing to do with the 2012-2014 NFL drafts? Those just happen to be the 15/75 classes for USC.

        • Of course. However, you can deny that recent performance -or lack of has an effect where a 17 year old chooses to go.
