Big Combine Week For USC Prospects

This weekend marks the start of“The Opening,” which is Nike’s most prestigious combine for high school football prospects. And it’s televised so fans can watch unlike camps at USC that are closed to the general public.

Two players recruited by USC — cornerbacks Iaiah Langley of Pleasanton, Calif., and offensive tackle Andre James of Herriman, Utah — will announce Tuesday. The most intriguing group to watch are the wide receivers:  Desean Holmes (Alemany), Equanimeous St. Brown. (Servite), Christian Kirk (Scottsdale, Ariz.) and Cordell Broadus (Las Vegas) are in attendance. Also there is wide receiver Trent Irwin (Hart), who is drawing national notice but not offered by USC.

Other USC prospects include defensive lineman Rasheem Green (Serra), linebacker John Houston (Serra), cornerback Dechaun Holiday (San Marcos), cornerback Iman Marshall (Long Beach Poly) and safety Marvell Tell (Crespi).
