Throwback Picture Of The Day

Here’s a picture of the 1957 USC-Oregon game at the Coliseum. Another picture of USC donning its rare gold helmets with the black numbers on the side.

Scott…ok rah rah nice pics of USC in 1957. Let’s get down to business. I watched the spring scrimmage it was just brutal. The offense was more lost than Hansel and Gretel in the woods. Honestly, I have been watching USC football since 1984 when I was a little kid and this is BY FAR, the worst I have ever seen the offense look. A Chinese fire drill looked more organized. All they did was run to the LOS, hike the ball throw an incomplete pass for 4 yards, run back to the LOS, hike the ball and hand off for 1 yard, run back to the LOS hike the ball and throw to a spot and the WR was 10 yards away. To quote Clint Eastwood it looked like a clusterfu*k. Cody Kessler knee brace and all, 6-3 210lb statue in the pocket trying to run the football was just ridiculous. I am concerned if we are even going to win more than 2 or 3 games this year. What is your take on this? What does Sarkisian think??

Mr. Corbett, you are a SUCC breathe of rational, fresh air. Your analysis of Sarks/SUCC’s FB team is totally accurate in my FB layman’s opinion. At last somebody with some brains and peas has stated the obvious: SUCC has a problematic offense. Mr. Corbett you’ve manned up to SUCC’s problem and I respect you as a USC Trojan.
