USC Morning Buzz: More On Christmas Bulb Helmets

HELMET.REDI’ve spoken to a couple players about the “shiny” USC helmets that are expected to be worn next season and they heard the Trojans will retain grey face masks. However, the players say the face masks will also by shiny and not like the traditional grey ones worn since Pete Carroll took over.

  2. Are we really at a point where we call something less than 15 years old “traditional?”

    I’ve been following the amusing posts where Scott posts about helmets and uniforms worn for just one year or even one game, while then calling on USC to not change their uniforms at all this year “out of tradition.” So which “tradition” should USC follow? Tinkering with the uniforms as they have in the past, or pretending they haven’t and claim that changing even the sock color is as affront to all things Trojan?

    • Don’t forget to find out if they have changed the color and design of their jock straps. That would be REAL reporting on Scottie’s part.

  6. Awful!!! If the Trojans walk out onto the field with these helmets you might as well rename the entire team, “The USC Solid Cardinal & Gold Dancers…”
