Sam Darnold Highlights

I usually refrain from showing high school highlights but San Clemente QB Sam Darnold’s are interesting because he has more plays running than passing, so maybe he is well-suited for the new offense.

    Nice analysis.

  • UCLA owns LA Football

This guy is a FB player. But whether he can last a full 12 game Pac-12 Conf. season w/o injury is the question. This guy is a huge target and he doesn’t seem to mind initiating contact. That works for SD in HS games, but won’t work as well in college FB.

      He will wreck ucla

      • ProbationU

From the bench? Or from the next team he joins after he transfers? He is unlikely to be more than a backup.

And be better than a uclan starting qb

You are too stupid for words Mr. 10! UCLA didn’t even recruit of offer this guy. We have plenty of QB’s and most importantly have a great OL class coming in.

You have Cody Kessler, Max Browne and Ricky Town….plus the kid Greene from Serra. If none of those guys pans out, perhaps this kid will make it. Or…you should get a better QB coach if you can’t get production out of those kids.

          • http://www.10-commandments.org/ 10 Commandments

Stupid is the best you got? You already lost. You probably also like the Ducks, Clippers and Angels too right? 2nd class is your way brother. I can accept you all the same.

            **We have plenty of QB’s**
Granted that Rosen looks pretty good but ‘plenty of QB’s?
That be Fafol?…or Hall?…or Woulard? I trust you didn’t include Neuheisel Jr. You did? Seems to me that the apple rolled quite a ways from the daddy tree on that one.
Probably should have left it at Rosen. That is at least palatable.

          • ProbationU

Rosen, Woulard (who won the Elite 11 last year), incoming freshman this year, Aaron Sharp (rated about the same as Greene) plus the others you mentioned. Normally you bring in 1 QB a year.

At least Darnold can compete as a LB if he doesn’t make it as a QB. ESPN had him pegged as a mid to low BCS prospect. I assume SC aims higher than that normally. Seems to be a very good basketball player as well. Certainly Enfield could use the help if needed.

Perhaps, at some future point in time, but not in 2014.

Youre right. Cody Kessler will wreck ucla this year.

Yeah, that shocked me too. One of the rare times Scottie says something positive.

  • timtrojan

This is the guy three weeks ago Scotty was saying was not a running QB. Amazing what you can find out when you do a little research. Hi Scotty’s mom.

  • Arturo

Interesting player. I like that he has a big enough frame that if he doesn’t pan out at QB, he could switch positions. He and Greene are alike in that sense.

  • Ted

He looks better than Keith Price did in high school.

7-win Sark aiming for the stars! 3 stars that is!

    • Larry Harris

Question is…When is 7-win Sark going to get his 7thwin next season…against Colorado, or the following week vs. Utah?

Regarding the 3 stars…Perhaps El Lobo told him that he
should emulate Mora, who already has four 3-star commits out of 10 (40%). 7-win only has three 3-star pledges out of 12…a paltry 25%. So I surmise that 7-win is saying, “Bite Me!” to the suggestion. After all, as the T-shirt says, “Our 3 are better than your 4”…or something to that effect.
‘Bite On’ Mr. Trogan. I look forward to your future posts. Too bad you are so ashamed of them…must be, otherwise you wouldn’t need to hide under the cloak of privacy on this board, as do your buds… Bucket, gotroy, and Betomas. Birds of a feather I assume.

Same guy Scotty said three weeks ago was not a running QB.

Layla, can you decipher this classic post of yours:

Governor Sark disagrees. Talking about consumed your the President of UCLA honks consumed with a USC blog. Look in the mirror and try to see the little boy that had so much promise but ended up a Ruin lurking on USC board trying to make his life have meaning.

Is this the best the University of Florida can produce, Layla?

      • timtrojan

Another swing and miss for Scotty’s mom.
Keep bringing all your knowledge and insite to the blog. It takes lots of strength to carry your son and USC on your back. Fight on.

        • gotroy22

“insite”?????????????? LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Did you just come back from Sunday brunch in MB where you had one too many champagne cocktails again, Layla?

  • Me You

I just see another Max Wittek. And look at how horrible the defense plays. No discipline. I do hope he’s a great one.
