In 1960 Life magazine did a photo essay on the growing popularity of NFL football. Here’s one of the photos, with former USC safety Lindon Crow (right) of the New York Giants covering the Philadelphia Eagles’ Tommy McDonald.

  1. Awesome pic. Thanks wolf. Photographers back then had to be in shape to keep up with players and they had no guarantee that they get a good shot.
