Player Spotlight: Luther Hayes

LUTHER.HAYES

USC defensive end Luther Hayes played from 1958-60 and was all-conference in 1959. He also was the NCAA triple jump champion in 1960 and 1961. A defensive end winning the NCAA triple jump would be unheard of today. But Hayes (6-3, 202) excelled at both sports.

love this new Essie popup that appears Scott. you must be proud, a USC athletic blog with woman’s cosmetics. What a fourth rate operation you and the Daily news are.

    • gotroy22

This blog has a sizeable female audience with FlameOn, Layla, Helen, Violet and CowPolyFan3.0/TrojanFamily/Wisdom’s wife the real SC fan.

  • timtrojan

All this great info and nothing about the commitment today? Scotty again, asleep at the wheel

    • Burak Uslu

Tim, please allow some more time for the Scott. He needs to find a negative in a good commitment. The news is cooking, almost ready.

    • gouxtroy22

Relax…we’re trying on our new Essie products and deleting critical comments

      • gotroy22

New moderator Daniel Tedford is working out great for you, Golly-Nerd. Only brainless rah rah comments for now on!

        • B.Miller

Sorry they removed every last one of your Post so I was unable to read all your inspirational post.. I’m pretty sure it was all the same comments about homosexuals, flatulence, and the Comic Con.
Sorry to hear wolf removed you from your job title, but it sounds like he did what was best for the Daily News..
Maybe you can continue retrieving coffee and clean stalls.

THREE STAR running back recruits (with those dreaded CHARACTER ISSUES”) are a good thing to collect…especially when all those 4 and 5 STAR Running Back Recruits end up leaving So Central and go back home!
      fit Un!

Back to the latrines, computer time is up…

        • gotroy22

            You really suck at leaving

If we are comparing stars you might want to check the standing. Baby Blue U is in the teens and dropping. I guess last years, last minute melt down when half your class defected still has you a little butt hurt. Although only turds who hang out on other teams blogs care about stars.

        • ThaiMex

You’re 100% correcto mundo…BECAUSE the ONLY thing that matters is Wins and loses! Know what I’m sayin? How you knuckleheads finished compared to the UCLA Bruins the last two years? (head to head or in Conference?) Yup,…thats what I thought.
          Fit Un Knuckleheads!

          • timtrojan

      • Independent_George

Yeah, that three star Myles Jack really blows.

Big News: Gina is out as moderator. and there is a new sheriff in town , a rah rah lover named Daniel Tedford, who censors realists and only wants brainless rah rah comments, so I am out of here until he is replaced. Congrats to Golly-Nerd, Layla, BM, FlameOn, Helen,CowPolyFan3.0/TrojanFamily/Wisdom and Garry Bleauz. You got your wish.

        • UCLA Bleauz

What a tearful farewell, GoatRoy……..we’re gonna miss you… NOT!… way to call out each and every person on this blog who apparently hurt your feelings…..and you’re letting a new moderator chase you off this blog?… what a hypocrite you are……

        • TrojanFamily

Gone five minutes and I miss him already.

          Cole Whittier everybody

        • B.Miller

        • Jethro G Sabbath

There must be another site where you can grumble all day.

HE also was a good receiver…one of his best receptions was vs OHIO STATE game , I think SC upset Woody’s team, and it was 1958? a night game,…my brother and I were there with our grandfather.

  • TrojanLights

Mr. Hayes was my junior high school instructor. A very nice man.
