USC Morning Buzz: Clarence Davis In Today’s Player Spotlight

DAVIS
Clarence Davis probably never got the attention he deserved but is definitely worth another look. Davis was an All-American in 1969 and two-time All-Pac-8 selection. He led USC in rushing in both seasons (1969-70) after he transferred from East Los Angeles College.
Davis gained 1,351 yards for the 1969 team that won the Rose Bowl. He also led the Pac-8 in kickoff returns.
Davis then spent eight years with the Oakland Raiders (1971-78) and was on their Super Bowl XI-winning team.

Sincerely, congrats to you and Wolfie. I know I speak for the entire blog when I say how happy we are for the Troll and Wolfie. It’s got a great ring to it, don’t you think?

Any team – any franchise any ownership is better than the lousy stinking Rams!

  • Ron Fleishman

Thanks Wolf, a great under appreciated player in Trojan history.

  • timtrojan

Please let the season start soon so Scotty can start telling us how each win was underachieving and each loss he predicted. Also, dig up every ex-Trojan who is having a good year.

  • Helen

Scottie: if you’re going to continue with these past player profiles, please include what they are doing today – thanks.

    • UCLA Bleauz

Besides incompetence, why doesn’t Wang have a similar “Player Spotlight” series for UCLA?…… just asking…….

    • Jack B

Be serious. Wolfie has no more ability to actually currently profile these past players than a simple-minded Troll would have.
