New Kicker Matthew Boermeester Off To Hot Start During First Two Practices

boermeester_576New kicker Matthew Boermeester, who was a late addition from Saddleback College, made 9 of 10 field goals the first two days, including a 52-yarder tonight. Boermeester, who is on scholarship, is the son of former UCLA kicker Peter Boermeester.

Andre Heidari struggled Monday but made 5 of 5 field goals tonight and also made a 52-yarder.

UPDATED: Boermeester’s scholarship will count as part of the Class of 2015’s allotment. He is considered a “blue shirt,” which means a non-recruited athlete can receive a scholarship a day after practice starts and it counts toward next year.

Heidari cost the team two wins last year.

Kesslers pick six against WSU didn’t help either…..

He had some issues last season. I hope he can display the skills he had earlier in his career

I don’t subscribe to your logic that a single player can lose or win a game but, if I did, you need to give him credit for two wins (Utah State and Stanford).

Boermeester – Congrats on the scholarship…Andre Heidari “struggling” is starting to become very annoying and old news!
