USC Practice Report

The kicking competition continued as Andre Heidari and Matthew Boermeester each made 3 of 4 field goals. Heidari missed a 30-yard field goal while Boermeester missed a 51-yarder on a bad snap.

The defense looks ahead of the offense, as it should this early in camp. One problem for the offense is shotgun snaps continue to be inconsistent. The defensive line was dominant today as Max Browne and Jalen Greene each fumbled while in the pocket.

Browne also had a pass intercepted by linebacker Michael Hutchings.

Steve Sarkisian made the team run in the middle of practice because he was tired of seeing guys falling to the ground and rolling around at the end of plays, which causes injuries.

Offensive lineman Aundrey Walker was limited today as he makes a slow comeback from last season’s fractured ankle. Offensive lineman Jordan Simmons (knee) was also restricted while safety D.J. Morgan did not practice.

    • COOKIES are for WINNERS! But I guess if they go 7-5…in their eyes that makes them winners.
(Aundrey Walker and that George Farmer guy remind me of Rice Krispies……)
