Defensive tackle Leonard Williams tackled in full pads for the first time Friday since last season. Williams missed spring practice as he recovered from a shoulder injury. He said he is still not 100 percent.

“It felt good to finally have a tackle drill,” Williams said.

USC coach Steve Sarkisian said he couldn’t tell Williams is not 100 percent.

“I wouldn’t know,” Sarkisian said. “He’s been pretty hard to deal with one-on-one. I keep telling (offensive line coach) Tim Drevno, at least you won’t have to deal with him every Saturday.”
