Athlon’s named Cody Kessler one of its 10 most underrated quarterbacks in the country.
“He isn’t a star like most of his Pac-12 brethren, but make no mistake, Kessler has plenty of talent. The Trojans’ signal-caller finally grasped Clay Helton’s offense following Lane Kiffin’s firing.”
Well, I wouldn’t say that he is OVERrated……
10 WINS!!!!!! with a terrible HC in LAME KIFFIN!
I sure hope that avoids the pick sixes that he had against Washington State and Fresno State……
Kessler probably will continue to make his share of mistakes—but his pluses WAY outnumber his minuses.
I agree…. just as long as his minuses don’t occur at a critical time in the game……
Well said. It’s kinda hard to forget that run back in the Washington State game, ain’t it?
But Sark won’t be playing field position football and a mistake, here or there, won’t as easily spell the end of the world.
That pick in the WSU game was brutal…..as was the disaster in the desert against ASU…but, my rearview mirror is broken….onward and upward!…..Sark may not necessarily be playing field position football all the time, but it’s good to know that Kris Albarado is punting the ball well in camp this year…. and he was great with his punting accuracy last year…..
Yeah, I have a feeling K.A. could be the difference maker up at Stanford…
I’m glad that we are playing Stanford early in the season……we will at least have a punchers chance…..
Kessler might very well be the second coming of Steve Sogge – 1967 USC qb.
Actually, Kessler had better first year stats than Matt Barkley…and I don’t think anyone will deny he throws a more accurate deep ball. Expect this kid to get better and better as he heads into the UCLA game.
II expect CK to improve during the year, as well as chemistry will continue to develop with his speedy receivers…..
Under rated? EIGHT PAC 12 Q-Backs are rated better than him. That makes him, give or take….THE THIRD WORST Q.B. in the conference and he’s gonna prove it to you within the first TWO WEEKS of the season.
fit Un Knuckleheads!
Anything is possible —but I expect a close game with Stanford, with USC winning.
