USC Morning Buzz: Helmets Delayed

HELMET

USC’s shiny new helmets might not make their debut until the fourth game of the season against Oregon State on Sept. 27. A representative of the helmet manufacturer said the helmets take longer to produce in part because of the special paint used to produce the glossy look. USC might not have all its required helmets until mid-to-late September, which would mean they are worn for the second home game.

    • This is a real scoop.. I bet no other USC websites would have this information..
Wolf got this from his inside source at the helmet manufacturer.

      • Scottie must have bribed the forklift driver in Shanghai with a case of chicken feet……

  1. If Notre Dame needed them by the Season opener, why do I think the helmets would be ready? Sarkhissian does not seen to have the pull of a Kelly or a Saban. This sounds crazy.

  2. 4 or 5 games in will be a perfect time to introduce these – after losing badly to Stanford, the fans will need a distraction. Well played, El Siete, well played.

  3. I would just wait until Homecoming Oct 18 against Colorado or the Notre Dame game as the last game. Make it seem special.

  4. Probably not the right opponent to do the test run since Oregon st always seems to win that match up
