USC Morning Buzz: Su’a Cravens Frustrated Over `Miscommunication’

CRAVENS

Earlier this week, USC safety Su’a Cravens clashed with some teammates over whether he was healthy enough to practice. Cravens was sidelined with a strained groin most of this week and sat out Wednesday’s scrimmage.

“That was just a miscommunication,” Cravens said.

Steve Sarkisian said the incident illustrated the desire of the team.

`The positive of it all is the players want to win,” he said. “This was all between the players. It never came to the coaches. I said before how close-knit they are and they tell me they are a lot closer than last year.”

  1. “There was speculation Cravens was unhappy because he is now playing linebacker in nickel-defense situations”……”speculation” by whom, Scottie? …..you?

  2. Really, this is your lead and headline for story? I read the story and still can’t understand what really happen. No mention of what or who the “clash” was with. Scotty, if your going to stir the pot please at least give some specifics, unless your making it up.

    • Insiders are very pleased with the excellent work from Reid Silverman, who has been mentioned as a likely replacement for Scott Wolf sometime before the end of this season.

    • Guess then he’ll have to remove the coliseum tattoo he has on his arm. Not going to happen.

    • Here is what he said last night at practice “But as to the rumor itself, “It’s too late,” Su’a said with as he showed off his “SC” tattoo on one bicep and then the other and his Peristyle tattoo that covers one entire upper arm. He’s here to stay. And playing where USC needs him.

    • A prediction from a guy who trolls twitter typos?

What’s next, financial advise from a guy urinating on a Del Taco?

      • It’s funny you think it was a typo. Kid was dumber than rocks and was truly excited to be a Trogan. Haha.

        • You know Markeith Ambles?

Or are you full of crap?

The board can make the call.

  3. Not likely he would transfer when he undoubtedly has plans to turn pro after the 2015 season.

But I am sure he does not like playing linebacker, a spot he likely would not be playing at the next level

    • Easy to get hurt at linebacker. I’m sure there’s a learning curve when it comes to dodging 15 – 20 mph, 300 lb pulling guards.

      • Not true OWNS. When playing linebacker in the nickel, it’s about coverage. If Su’a was playing for UCLA, you would be praising the young man 24/7. Everyone knows you rip him because he’s a Trojan. You are a little snot like those I have dealt with my entire life, you hate the hot chick just because she’s hot.

        • Recite/Quote Sally, Porcine SUCC Insider, my exact quote denigrating Su’a.

1st, 2nd, or 3rd downs Nickle packages NEVER EVER have to stop anything but passes – I.E. no FB team ever runs on the obvious passing down – is that what you’re saying Coach Sally.

Let me say Sally, you’re are full of Znot.

Lastly Sally, you vile crone, I married a really hot chick. You no doubt were always the ugly pilot fish chick hanging out with the hot chicks to make them look better.

  4. Ok, let’s break this pre-season DOWN….

we know Siete’s Hurry up offense is not in such a hurry and downright sloppy.

we know the O-LIne is VERY shaky and the majority of starters will be inexperienced.

we know there will be ridiculous tents in the end zone (they’re really gonna do it)

we know Siete does not hesitate to humiliate his players in the press (Walker) or in front of the team (making him wear a “pink dress” in practice).

and NOW the team is taking a cue from Siete and turning on
each other…..this issue should have NEVER reached the Press, and QUITE HONESTLY, i think Siete planted the story and made a spectacle out the situation by having Clairborne show up and give a statement!!

    thanks for the GUMBALL, wolfman!!!
