Freshman Adoree Jackson took some snaps on offense today during USC’s morning practice. Defense remains his primary position but Steve Sarkisian said he is still on track to play both.

I would say Heidari is comfortably in the lead right now. There was a brief challenge from Boermeester but Andre has stepped in up in the last week or so and is really kicking well. The 30-yard FG he made the other day to end practice early earned him some big points with teammates.

There are some people who think it’s a good thing, as the Trojans will be fairly fresh early in the year to play a physical Cardinal team. Will the offensive execution be as crisp early in the year as it would be later in the year? That remains to be seen but i really like the fact that we get to find out a lot about the team early on.
