Offensive guard Damien Mama expressed doubt tonight about whether he would take his Mormon mission his sophomore year as originally planned.
“At this point I’m not sure,” Mama said. “The depth (on the offensive line) isn’t there.”
Mama said he did not know when he would go on his mission. This is not surprising because players often decide they do not want to take a year off college after they start playing. But it is interesting that Mama is expressing doubt this soon.
Mama took the snaps with the first team at right guard and Steve Sarkisian acknowledged after practice the 377-pound freshman could start the Fresno State game.
Fight On Damien!

Sounds as if Mama has made strides in this camp
He’s a 17-18 year old.. Of course he will have doubt.. At the end of the season he will decide what is best for him..
dont make a drama issue out of it
a “drama issue”? Silly Trogan.
a “drama issue”? Silly Trogan.
Love a kid who has his priorities in line! Mission is super important, unless the 2-deep is thin! Haha, silly Trogan.
Six wins will make his decision a no-brainer! See ya On!
