Depth Charge

With Tre Madden now a game-time decision, it once again illustrates the tenuous nature of some positions for USC. Javorius Allen is the starter. Justin Davis is now No. 2 but he fractured his ankle last season and sprained an ankle in training camp. Fullback Soma Vainuku is the No. 3 tailback with Madden hurt.

That’s might not really matter for Fresno State but if someone else gets hurt, it could be panic stations for the big Stanford game.

  1. Of course the sanctions limiting how many players SC can carry has nothing to do with Troy being thin at several positions

Although the Trojans have been carrying on pretty well for 4 years now, and will continue to do so.

But I cannot wait for 2016 when SC will once again be at full strength, and Sark will be in his third season, usually a turnaround year for a new coach (i.e. Mckay, Carroll, and perhaps Lessa….I mean Mora)

      • “#ManUP!!”

You need to look in the mirror before you tell someone to man-up/

That dementia is getting worse. It sucks to be you!

      • Charlie, before I left for the Philippines, UCLA was in Southern California. Did a Bohol size earthquake separate the Little Red School House even further from reality?

        • I’m really not sure Doc…here’s what’s happened: Bruins are ranked #5 by several polls, Hundley is up for Heisman, Myles Jack is All American, the Cadre is growing stronger than ever (we’re bigger than U.S. Steel) we eradicated Nubs, insiders say the wolfman is up for the Pulitzer…Doc, please PUNCH me, I mean PINCH me, I think I might be DREAMING!!!

          • Reality is calling… Bruins will stumble to 9-3 record and finish 23rd in country with stunning loss in Holiday Bowl when Myles Jack tackles own teammate when playing running back. Hundley will slip on wet floor in Pauley Pavillion and blow out ACL during towel waving exhibition. Scotty will realize his life has no meaning pandering to wandering Ruin fans and leave for Tibet to study with Llama.

          • yeah that’s reality!! and Mama will enter the next Olympics as a high jumper.

…well except the part about wolfman teaching the Dalai Lama about life….i can see that happening.

      • UCLA is 60 years (Happy 60th anniversary B-ruins) since a college football championship !

60 “lame” years of “loser” excuses, how do you get out of bed on lame, oops I meant game day !!

Hey I know what to do ?

Hang out on Championship blogs with the USC Trojans and learn how its done !

        Or… ?

Go to “your” loser team blogs and relish in a loser experience ?

        PATHETIC !!!

Remember though, Cal Poly Pomona isn’t that far away from Southwood, and its a place where you can watch talent and traditions that you wish you had ? ! ?

USC is too BIG and too MAMOUTH for “you”, they/it/USC will only drown what life “you” have left…

Move-on-to lesser/smaller things in life and leave CHAMPIONSHIPS to the “BIG” guys…

        USC TROJANS !!!

        • Rick, that’s some tough stuff! just one thing……where’s the Crystal???

i mean, you had a “Dynasty” right?? and Alabama and Fla and LSU have MULTIPLE BCS Crystal Balls won during this Golden Era….but i don’t see ANY at Southern Cal.

          drive safely.

          • Hey there Chuck !

Sorry about UCLA’s “Super” Saturday against “mighty” Virginia, I mean who “wouldn’t” be gasping against such an exceptional “East Coast Menace” ?

Ya know the “mighty” Cavaliers had an incredible [2 – 8 (0 – 8 ACC)] 2013 season ? Even mighty “Duke” doesn’t want a piece of that team !!

And “Hundley” was at his Heisman self, simply brilliant, especially in the “1st” half when the B-Ruins didn’t cross midfield !!

I say “Heisman right now” !!!

Oh and might I say Virginia’s defense is exceptional, at least some where in the Top 100, of course Division ll I mean !

In 2014 the Sky is the Limit…

Poor Trojans, their weekend wasn’t so fortunate, only 705 total yards on offense ?

Oh well maybe next week !

You never know what might happen against a Top-10 team on their home ice, even if you want to call them the “Defending Pac-12 Champions”

            Poor USC !

            Oh well, FightOn

    • Pretty good prediction. 2016 or 2017. Unless all the stars align perfectly–a statistical rarity.

  2. Hahaha.. .1st your “75 are better than our 85” then it was “Unfinished Business” all after going 10-2 with Kiffen, then its like Kiffen USuCk now the rah rahs are saying “lets wait till 2016”, ha!!

    • Then its little Bruin honks that have no life and hang on a USC site. Really, get a girlfriend.

  3. Gary Klein w. the Times has a different slant on USC’s depth esp. at receiver – multi-talented players due to the opportunity and need for both this year and next.

  4. Depth Charge? Scott are you suggesting one injury could “sink” the Trojans? Always got to stick it to us, huh, Scott?
