I complained over the weekend about how loud the Coliseum sound system seemed. Now I’m told it was actually louder than last year. Did they think Petros Papadakis was doing a basketball game at the Galen Center?

  1. Don’t often give you kudos Scott but that is a funny comparison. At the Galen Center it’s all about Petros in his porkpie hat as he ‘performs’ from his painstakingly rehearsal he’s invested so much in before the match – Petros stares into the distance and muses “Hmmm how loud should I bellow tonight? Let me go and ask my father!”

  3. While we’re on it funny no mention by you Scott of the remarks made by UCLA’s offensive line coach Adrian Klemm as published in today’s Daily News/Breeze by Jack Wang. Man talk about avoiding the obvious – UCLA has no depth and more telling ‘the Emperor’s New clothes’ aka Noel Mazzone Note this ‘don’t look this way look the other way’ quote…

    “People get on Noel about playcalling,” Klemm said. “What do you want to
    call when it’s third-and-long freakin’ 20 times a game? It all falls
    back on our shoulders just like this game. If we’re rolling, it’s
    because of us. We’re overworked and unappreciated, but the thing of
    the matter is, if they’re not talking about us, it’s a good thing.”

    Hmm seems like someone is questioning Mazzone or maybe it’s Klemm – I’d say they’re both in the running for the “As Competent As Mickey Hatcher” award.

  5. The volume of the system is not the only problem. The frequency they have the speakers EQd to is just plain noobery. Whoever set that up has NO IDEA what they are doing. It is terrible and needs to be fixed.
