USC Morning Buzz: Stanford Streaks To Consider

Some stats on the Stanford game: A ranked USC team has not beaten a ranked Stanford team since 1972. That covers four losses in the series: 1992, 2009, 2011, and 2012.

Stanford quarterback Kevin Hogan is 10-1 against ranked teams in his career. He was 10-0 before last season’s loss in the Rose Bowl to No. 4 Michigan State.

Meanwhile, USC snapped its four-game losing streak to the Cardinal last season. And if you forgot, here’s the crowd on the field after that game.

  1. A little strange how an SC crowd would react that way (only other time I recall rushing the field was I believe in 1999 when Troy ended SUCLA’S 8-game streak).

But it was frustrating losing to the Farm 4 straight years, and SC was still stewing over its sanctions posture, so apparently Trojans’ fans thought it was time to vent.

    • L.J. Don’t LISTEN to wolfman, you don’t need to conjure up some defensive sounding RATIONALE for you leading the trOXans in a jubilant rush onto the field like a bunch of little girls seeing Justin Beiber!!!

Or in your case, Al Jolson.

    • Mr. Wolcott, SUCC is 60 – 29 – 3 ( 65% WP) all-time against Stanford FB. Why were the hysterical, bush league SUCC fans stampeding the mausoleum field. SUCC is suppose to beat Stanford. You know, been there, done that.

Imagine UCLA Basketball fans storming the court after beating the SUCC men’s Basketball team. LOL.

      • I think this is where the “historical” relevancy factors falls apart for our Trogan friends. Sure, they’re 65% winners against Stanford, but nobody cares about 1950 anymore. So as much as they hate to admit it, TODAY is all that counts, and TODAY UCLA OWNS LA!

        • No Rose Bowl wins since 1985. No conference titles since 1998. No Heisman trophies since 1967. Only 3 victories over USC in the last 14 years. UCLA doesn’t own anything in L.A.

          • The Trolls run from these FACTS like Dracula avoids daylight, garlic and crucifixes. You’ll get responses like Yawn, etc. You know the drill.

          • all these facts are ancient history. What’s fact is that today, SC can’t touch UCLA. 35-14 is FACT. Trogans run from facts like these!

          • You’re already headed down big-time after a week in the top 10. Too much pressure for Mora the BadAss. The rest of the country knows the little gutties are posers, as usual. 50-0 ain’t ancient history, nor is 12 of 15. Even a limited Troll like you should know that’s recent history.

          • Compared to UCLA 35 – SUCC 14 and two snapped ankles, 50 – 0 is ancient history Stinky. Like or not, UCLA owns LA FB.

          • It’s difficult for some to get some real perspective with their collective heads rammed so far up their arses….

          • And bleauz is the perfect specimen to explain the condition. BTW bleauz, how do you light your orally satisfying cigars.

          • ……and one games defines the history between the two programs?…….LOL!!!

            Dementia is some nasty stuff!

          • Don’t forget their whopping 42% winning percentage in Rose Bowl Games. (Explanation for the trolls: Even when your team is “good”, it is still inferior).

  2. Wolfman, you KNOW I love you like a BROTHER, but c’mon, you make it sounds like the trOXans have NO CHANCE in this game!!!! Dint you WATCH their victory agin’ Raisin U???

i BELIEVE in these gueys!!! Just cause they STORMED THE FIELD like a bunch of LITTLE GIRLS after they won last year, it’s not like the win was a MIRACLE or anything!!!

    Bucket’s prediction: trOXan WIN!

    Wolfman’s prediction: Paaaaaain

  3. The USC/Stanford game is a terrific, long-standing rivalry between the best private schools in the west. USC’s all-time record against the Cardinal is a totally dominant 60-29-3. Stanford has gone through some absolutely long term futile periods, where they had no chance. With Harbaugh’s arrival, Stanford has been completely reborn as the co big-dog with Oregon. So, when USC improbably beat Stanford last year, after they punched us in the mouth in 1012, it was a huge deal. The game on Saturday should be great! I have no idea who will win.

    • Well, one of them is one of the best Private Schools in the West. the other is a clown college.

    • “between the best private schools in the west”
Haha! Laughable. Stanford is the top private school in the West, along with Caltech, Claremont-McKenna, Pomona, Harvey Mudd, and Pitzer College as honorable mentions to the top West coast privates list.
Most of the UCs are better than usc, as are Reed College and Santa Clara, and even the two Cal Polys.

      • Typical little gutty. Dense between the ears, obsessed with the Trojans and looking for approval on a USC site. Does ucla even allow blacks on campus unless they play football?

  4. Funny no footage of when UCLA last beat Stanford hmmm 2008? Now that’s a losing streak to ponder – five years and counting…..maybe they this year can break that jinx as well as the last time they won at Palo Alto (2007).

  5. Memo to wolfman: i think we need a Pre-Stanford Chat!!

the Dummies sound defeated DAYS BEFORE the actual game!!

all the trash talk from Stanford…and not a PEEP of response from SOuthen Cal!! wow! C’mon wolfman, we need to get the team fired UP!

right now, they are like a bunch of terrified SHEEP and Siete is the Judas Goat leading them to the SLAUGHTERHOUSE!!!
