USC Morning Buzz: GameDay Edition

Is it too early to say that Week 2 is a huge game? Probably not. I will do doing an in-game live chat today for the 12:30 p.m. contest.

In the meantime, will the USC drum major be required for take a breathalyzer entering Stanford Stadium like two years ago?

  1. Gee Whiz, Scott, you posted this at 4:15 a.m; I thought I was about the only one up before dawn, or are you able to post automatically while you sleep?

To change the subject, I went over to Wang’s SUCLA site for the first time in a year, and I note there are 0, 1 or 2 replies to the posts from the SUCLAs, whereas Wolf gets 50, 60, even 100.

Now I see why these low-lifes post here; because they think they will be heard (read).

As a courtesy I do not use the same language i.e. SUCLA on its blog as I do here. But I’ve never seen that courtesy reciprocated here by the westwooders except Encinitas.

    So be it.

  2. How much longer will the USC drum major get to stick the sword into the away team’s field before the Politically Correct Offended By Everything Crowd ban it?!

    • I dont think that even Stanford would be that lame. Something only accomplished by UGLY

      • I hear Josh Shaw, injured SUCC FB Captain, will be honored at Stanford Stadium today for his HEROIC deed.

    • As far as bad taste goes, the Stanford band leads the pack. If we wanted to be PC we would have to get a female who is minority, muslim, disabled to do it.

  3. USC has a sword and UCLA has a towel wave. I wonder why all those stud freshman chose USC last year?

  4. Will the stunts never end at Stanford? The last time I went to their stadium there was a swarm of bees hovering in the eating area where I had paid to sit the reaction was “tough” those are your eats if you don’t want them leave. Stanford reminds me of everything that is bad about snooty schools. The fan base is as classless as I have ever seen. I wouldn’t be surprised to see Stanford ban/fan stunts this year too.

  5. The drive up the coast on Highway 1 was superb. We’ve been staying in the city since Wednesday night. We spent the day in Marin County yesterday and had a great meal last night. We chatted with many, many Trojan fans about the game. They are the greatest people on the planet. The insiders are pretty much agreed that the final score will be USC 34 Stanford 17.
