  1. No need to even mention the Coach’s Poll any longer. They still have Ohio State ranked higher than Va Tech. Pfft.

  2. Wanted – Sportswriter for the LA Daily News. Must not be able to reason logically. We only hire stupid idiots. Please see Scott Wolf’s Week 2 AP poll for an example of the type of thinking for which we are looking.

  3. The Final Four should most likely be the winners of the ACC, Big 12, Pac 12 and SEC. Just got to keep winning and stay healthy.

  4. Heard y’all have a bruin infestation problem here, kinda like cockroaches – UGLY. From what I’ve seen in their first two games, they’ll finish tenth in the conference, right above Colorado and Washington State. We’ll be hanging their first loss on ’em this Saturday..Figure they’ll finish the season 6 -6.

    • Watcha talkin’ bout Willis? This site is a great place for UCLA Bruins to congregate: the blogger is more pro-UCLA/anti-USC than Wang and the Bruin fans post more comments than the Trojan fans. I’m gonna spend more of my time here and I can practice my Heisman pose at the same time!

      • They remind me of typical demokwats – rip anyone and everyone else but never a word ever a word about us (be-air tech) – no just come here and roost and defecate with their cutsey handles or their bile.

No ignore function – shame it would shut down all those morons.

        • “no ignore function” is that vodka discourse for something germane? Nap time Otis!

  5. Bluntly AL hasn’t even been truly tested – they haven’t even gone on the road yet. They don’t play their 1st conference game until 20th Sept. against FL. Their sole road game that will be a challenge is LSU – Both TX A&M and Auburn are home games.

If TX A&M takes them down it is another glaring fact of how the SEC has created it’s own inherent ineptitude with their circular reasoning on their scheduling – We win because we play each other – we play each other because we win i.e. TX A&M and MO deemed also rans in the Big12 have more than garnered respect in the SEC.

Right now USC should be in the top 6 along w. TX A&M – both AL and GA should be dropped.

    • Top 6? Not taking anything away from SC’s gutsy win yesterday, but simply put, the verdict is still out on Stanford. They dismantled a cupcake UC Davis team (first year in FBS?) and looked very un-Shaw-ish yesterday. Yes, SC’s D had a lot to do with the Cardinal going 1 for 10 in the red zone, but Stanford also contributed heaps to their own desmise (silly penalties, miscues, fumbles, missed FGs, etc).

      • Well , they are the 2 time defending Pac-12 champions, and they’ve consistently been a top team in college football for about 6 years, so there’s that.

      • No. County-adjacent to Vista ‘oso’ – what you saw is Shaw’s inability to re-design his offense. He played this game just as he did against MI St. in January – looking for a tie – it was also how he played against Troy last November.

His game plan was, at best, conservative in the red zone He chose to kick away when on the USC 29 and 32 yd. lines along with two failed FG attempts. Stanford has recruited wide bodies for their front line and Sarkisian, as Wolf noted in Sunday’s report chose not to allow Stanford to key on the other team QB by shutting down the ground attack.

Sarkisian noted Stanford is not Fresno State – force them to control the line and slowly wear them out – something Arbogast noted late in the 3rd qtr. noting Stanford linemen with hands on their sides and breathing deeply.

I will say this I should not have suggested GA drop rather it should be OK.

  6. Just a poll. Where is leaky bucket tonight? We passed the little school like they were standing still, which they were.

  7. It really is too early to start talking garbage. BUT, that was a huge win, and it was AT THE FARM.

  8. Across town, POWERFUL MEMPHIS gave the baby bears all they can handle. Yeah, I’m talking crud, and should not.

  9. You do realize this is the first time since early in the 2012 season that pUSC has been ranked above the mighty Bruins, right? You remember that year: You started the season #1 and became the first team in nearly 50 years to finish unranked. Wait for it…. (it won’t be long now).

    • You’re talking about a pre-season poll in 2012 and comparing that to the poll today going into week 3. USC looks like the better team in every aspect of comparison. Maybe UCLA will beat Stanford or Oregon for the first time this millenium. But I doubt it.
