A Lingering Issue

How is it that someone from the USC compliance dept. texted Pat Haden on behalf of Steve Sarkisian? Aside from being a rule violation, compliance is supposed to be neutral observers so they can be free from influence. Obviously they participated in the incident so someone probably needs to brush up on not being an arm of the athletic dept.

  1. When I first read the title of this post, I was fearful that another USC player was victimized with a staph infection…..

    • I had a different reaction. I was fearful that Nelson Agholor re-confirmed his demotion to #2 receiver.

  2. most beat writers would have missed that in all the hub-bub…GREAT CATCH wolfman!!

definitely warrants more sanctions of some kind.

isn’t it STUNNING how the NCAA REMOVES sanctions from Penn St, the SAME DAY Scott B-slaps O’Hadden and Southern Cal??? and recall, that’s Child Molestor U!!! treated with more respect than Southern Cal!!!!

    #PennStateMoreIntegrityThanSC?

  3. Follow the money Wolf! All the way to the TOP! Just like Bernstein and Woodward did during Watergate. This is your chance to drag your muffin-top out of the sewer and back to the pinnacle! This story has career maker written all over it!!!!

  4. Cool it Wolf

This is a non-issue that will be forgotten by Wednesday

Except by the SC boys who know that their coach and Athletics Director have their back

    This will only help SC

Come on Wolf, you are better than that, but I don’t believe you care since you love to cater to the SUCLA goofs on your blog.

    • At SUCC, cheating is always a non-issue. The “SUCLA goofs” aren’t doing any cheating on Wolf’s blog..

      • cheating? How did Haden cheat? He went down to the field, which is ok, within the rules. He yelled at the refs, which is marginal. Keep digging butthead.

  5. Enough already! What’s the big f-n deal? Can you please report on some actual football news.

      • We beat Stanford on the road, and Scott has not had a single positive post about it. Com’n, Scott, you’re losing any credibility you had left!

  6. The only rule violation was the mode of communication, text instead of voice, not the communication itself. If Haden talking to the ref was a penalty why didn’t they throw a flag? Haden made sure Sark wasn’t thrown out by the flag happy refs. You had a penalty that’s called only if the side judge runs into a player coach, never on a field goal try, and then an unsportsmanlike conduct call and then a player ejected. Sark correctly got on with the game and turned it over to Haden. Well managed by all except the Pac 12 refs and Larry Scott.

  7. Let’s see SUCC folks, first Sark says he texted Haden, then, Haden says he got a text message from he knows not who, and finally, it turns out SUCC’s compliance dept. (in house cheating trumps mandate) sent their AD an illegal text.

Hey SUCCster’s who’s on first over at SUCC: O’Hadden’s Pub.

  8. BFD. This is the non-story of the year. The scary thing is the football world is so obsessed with USC that they have all reached the Scotty level of coverage. Still What other school can have the coach get a personal foul talk to AD and next day it becomes a national story? ESPN had almost as big as woody as Scotty on this story. Even Colin Cowherd said this AM it was a non-story.

    • Anything adverse to SUCC’s precious Manly-Man, heroic, self image is always a non-issue. Your AD, juiced, ran down to the field and butt in a HC/Ump conflict. Then the SUCC lies began to fly; Sark had texted Haden, no, Haden got a phantom text, and now, the SUCC compliance dept is taking the blame. BFD, I think not. Haden is no longer fit to be a University AD.

      • Yes, Sark pulled out his phone and texted Haden. Your dumber than I first thought. When I need an opinion from a babyblue dip$hit like you i’ll ask.

        • Gee timmy, I’m only repeating what Sark, the SUCC little baby HC “SAID” he did. Trolls needn’t lie and cheat to feel good. I’ll bet you got an A+’s in Walter Williams’ classes.

        • BWWWWAAAAHHHH! Now that was funny.. Poor @uclaownslafootball:disqus.. That guy really needs more attention!
