Ex-Player Brian Baucham Files Lawsuit Against USC, Lane Kiffin

BAUCHAM

Former USC cornerback Brian Baucham filed a lawsuit today against the university and former coach Lane Kiffin. Baucham’s lawsuit says he was forced to play a home game “even though was very ill and diagnosed by the USC Health Clinic with an influenza-like illness, viral pharyngitis and dehydration.

“As a result, Mr. Baucham suffered from cardiopulmonary damage, as well as brain injury with neurocognitive deficits.”

The lawsuit does not specify a dollar amount for damages.

  1. What a start of the week for SUCC: Former player files lawsuit and another former Linebacker (S. Ross ) dies prematurely at 44. SUCC tradition lives on.

      • Regrettably, Mr. Ross, did in fact, expire prematurely. If you’re offended, I meant no disrespect.

        • UCLA doesn’t know class. That’s why all they can do is come over here and feel good about themselves by posting anonymously. What do you expect from a place that graduates serial killers, judge killers and doctors that sell body parts.

        • “If you are offended I mean no disrespect”

          BS response

“It was insensitive and I am sorry” is the proper response.

It’s not his fault he was offended. It was yours for being offensive.

    • It’s the “SUCC tradition lives on” line that is repulsive as it pertains to Mr. Ross, Owns.

But we understand how important it is to YOU to put down everything pertaining to ol’ SC, even death.

    • There are black sheep in every family…. for all we know, you may be the one in yours….or perhaps I may be the one in mine…….but it doesn’t stop us from still being a family…..

  2. Memo to Bucket and the so called Cadre. A gal in my Bunco Squad showed this article from Psychology Today– all we need to know about you guys:

“… the associations between sadism and GAIT (Global Assessment of Internet Trolling) scores were so strong that it might be said that online trolls are prototypical everyday sadists.”
Trolls truly enjoy making you feel bad. To quote the authors once more (because this is a truly quotable article):
“Both trolls and sadists feel sadistic glee at the distress of others.
Sadists just want to have fun … and the Internet is their playground!” So next time you encounter a troll online, remember a few things. (1) These trolls are some truly messed up people and (2) it is your suffering that brings them pleasure, so the best thing you can do is ignore them.

  3. “Brain injury with neurocognitive deficits”….time for the Village idiot to chime in with his usual…”dementia is some nasty stuff” comment.
$uc…where the Tail continues to Wag the dog…
fit Un and win at all costs!
    U Stupid clowns!

    • UCLA is the pot calling the Kettle black – are you still kicking out veterans off their land to build a baseball stadium, or are your doctors still aelling body parts or celebrity medical histories? What do you expect from a place that graduates serial killers, judge killers and Freddie Mitchell. Hahahahahahaga – losers.

    • The SUCLA brain surgeons are on the prowl again. Three comments in a row using the phrase “clown” college, probably for the 100th time here.

      Is that all you got?

      • “I don’t make’em’ up paly”, herrr, herrr, herrr, herrr!
        Ah….blow it out…..
        Mercy Nurse and…..best of all…..
        Fit Un!

        • “Mercy Nurse” has been used over 100 times through the years by Ugly Bucket (aka ThaiMex)

      • As usual Jersey John has it wrong. The label “Brain Surgeons,” was Jim Healy’s term for SUCC. Mr. Healy was a UCLA grad.

    • The SUCLA brain surgeons are on the prowl again. Three comments in a row using the phrase “clown” college, probably for the 100th time here.

      Is that all you got?

  4. Never heard of him. Nobody can force you to play. For pete’s sake Arman Armstead is suing USC and Lane Kiffin for not letting him play because he wasn’t well enough. And that superstar from Georgia that Kif and USC said wasn’t well enough to play transferred to Georgia and played right away. Sooooo, it’s hard to believe Kiffin would “force” a guy with a braineurism to play. Or force him to even show up at the game.

    • This is just sad all around. Can’t imagine a college coach (not even Kiffin) “forcing” a kid to play…

      • In this country we specialize in graduating lawyers. We have way too many lawyers looking for cases with a sliver of merit and insurance companies willing to settle. Accusations are merely accusations and not necessarily the truth.

        • Congrats on throwing some reason into the hat. Discovery in this case should be very interesting. USC better have its ducks lined up and Baucham will also be crossed hard core. The case will settle and we’ll probably never have the faintest clue who really won, the lawyers or either party.

    • A lawyer finally convinced him that in today’s climate, he’s got a real chance at some dough. Easy money or a nightmare ride through the court system. Kiffin finally helps USC here. Possibly another insurance company, a cross-defendant. Should be fun. Lots of witnesses. He’s got a better shot than McNair had and McNair could hit it really big if he can hold out.

  5. Pat Haden’s statement to the Times is such ridiculous spin, completely unhelpful, just indicates he doesn’t get it. Just STFU Pat. Kiff got it right with “no comment”.

  6. I want to write Freddie Mitchell a letter. Do you think he can read it, like that other UCLA player in the 70’s that was illiterate but still graduated from UCLA?
    #hahahahalosers

  7. I note the lawyer waited until the final day of the 2-year statute of limitations to file suit. Why wait?

And a civil suit for personal injury is not allowed to state a dollar amount for damages.

    • Lawyer was undoubtedly trying to negotiate a settlement prior to having to file suit and accumulate further costs. USC said “your numbers aren’t right” and forced a filing to avoid SOL.
