USC Morning Buzz: Honeymoon On Line Against Oregon State?

USC is expected to defeat Oregon State on Saturday night. But if the Trojans lose would it signal the end of the honeymoon for Coach Steve Sarkisian?

“Oregon State (3-0) is almost a no-win game. The Beavers last defeated USC in Southern California in 1960. So if the Trojans win, they are just doing what is expected. A loss would probably unleash a second wave of discontent (after Boston College).”

  1. No Scottie, the honeymoon won’t be over.

BC was not a “significant” upset.

Losing to OSU would not be a “significant” upset.

Wolfian logic is running strong today.

    • I dunno, a second straight loss when USC is favored? I would call that honeymoon over. There is no excuse for a back to back loss to BC and OSU… no excuse. Even if they went undefeated after two losses here (which they won’t), losing to these two teams is a significant stain on the season.

    • only Helenic logic could state (as you did above) that Southern Cal is “expected to win every game” and at the same time declare losses to BC and OR St. are “not significant upsets” even thought they’re heavy underdogs….

  2. Please post info that is relevant to the team. Perhaps an update on practice

PS….Is this some way related to Kiffin?

  3. You’re right wolf. It’s a no win game so usc should just sit this one out, huh?

How does it feel to be worst worst beat writer in America?

    • And Marshall is still in his Top 25…..This was not based on the strength of that team, but rather the weakness of their schedule…..ever the contrarian, Wolfie clings to petty little things such as this in order to set himself apart from the rest…..

  4. There’s a reason why they call Cow Poly 3.0 the village “irdiot.” And it’s on display 24/7.

    • F U

….and there’s a reason why you clean heads foe a living

PS….bucket left head #2 in bad shape, get on it,

    • betomas, i’m starting to believe those internet rumors about the Cadre being a bunch of Sadistic Psychopaths…the way you brutalize T-Fail, after sending his hero Nubsie to the cornfield, is…..inhuman.

      KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK!!!!!

  5. There are no gimme games in the Pac-12. Lowly Cal almost beat Arizona; WSU and OSU have very good quarterbacks.

So I for one will be very pleased to have SC get by OSU tomorrow night.

And then Troy lucks out next week with ASU’s top QB no doubt out of the game; you see what his absence did for SUCLA yesterday, turning what probably would have been a close game into a laugher, although I did not watch it. I get all the SUCLA info I need from a 5 minute L.A. Times reading of their games

    • That’s what I love about SUCCster’s. They’re opinions have no basis of fact. Jersey claims the reason UCLA won big simply because the Devils started a 5th year senior QB, but he also mentions he didn’t see the game. They’re QB, Bercovici, had the Devils up by 11 points in the 2nd Qtr.

Az. State will be at the mausoleum 10/04, and they have the horses to beat SUCC.

      • that ASU back up QB is legit. he can make all the throws. he did make mistakes, some due to poor clock mgmt by his Coach, but i think he’ll be more confident when they play Southern Ca.

        My Prediction: Paaaaaaaaaain

  6. Cut the Wolf man some slack…He’s no sunshine pumper like the rest of you fools. He didn’t hire SIETE! The team stinks, is in disarray, guys are quitting while others are being asked to leave. One guy thought he was SUPERMAN…”look up in the sky, it’s a Bird, it’s a Plane, It’s whats his name,…your bonehead Team Captain being chased by the cops!” “W.C. Haden” is the guy you should be angry with. He makes “rustoli” look like a Salvation Army Bell ringer!

The Clown thing is kind of cute!
    fit Un knuckleheads!

    • C’MON THAI!!!

      these Dummies want UCLA INFO!!!

it’s all they THINK about!!! well, after last night, they got PLENTY to think about!!!

and the Beavs got NOTHING TO LOSE!!! that’s more dangerous than Yoda on a 3 day drunk!!!

    • **”look up in the sky, it’s a Bird, it’s a Plane, It’s…**
      (splat)…it’s a Bird.

  7. I am again watching our linebackers trying to cover running backs out of the backfield and tight ends. Fortunately for us, Manion isn’t considered a duel threat QB. Stanford & BC exposed this glaring weakness that you know Mike Riley will also attempt to expose also.

  8. Honeymoon’s already over. Nothing wrong with that. Sark better get his act together and figure out how to prevent his “bipolar” team from bouncing around. He’s got plenty of time to fix things, and rightly so, but most people don’t have a lot of sympathy for hugely paid millionaire college coaches who lose to their rivals or lose to big underdogs and look bad. It’s a very hot kitchen at USC now and Sark has no one to blame but himself and his hand-picked assistants.

    • SC will get it together tomorrow. I think that SC’s toughest games, other than the usual suspects, will be on the road at Utah and Arizona and possibly WSU. Anything can happen in the league this year.

ASU’s defense is very poor. SC should put up Fresno State type numbers against them next week. I would anticipate a real shootout.

    • No Helen, not expected to “Win” every game, that’s unreasonable to/for any team !

How about expected not to “choke” the games that should easily be won…

      FightOn

  9. I don’t want our honeymoon with UGLYownsLAlaboratories and CharleneBucket to be over. We need comic relief.

  10. The “Honeymoon” ended 2 weeks ago in Boston !

No more time for “Bad” game management…

  11. Once again my comment about the “cadre” was deleted by the Moderator–despite the lack of any offensive content.

So I again ask why? Who is behind this censorship?

    • chortle chortle, you are playing with forces far beyond your comprehension. Foolish Bunco lady.
