Don’t Talk To Parents

Media at today’s practice were told to stay in a special area away from any parents that attend practices. Apparently speaking to parents was deemed inappropriate.

    • Since Wolfie rarely attends practice, he shouldn’t have any problem with abiding by this rule…….

    • This is only considered “newsworthy” because it was targeted at Scottie, so now he is passive aggressively posting it….

      • Why does Sark have a problem with Wolf speaking to player parents. Does Sark have something to hide or be less than transparent.

The whole issue sounds like Sark/SUCC induced censorship to muzzle fairness of journalism.

        • The parents are free to approach Wolf, if they so choose. The problem with Wolf approaching the parents is that Wolf is not an “honest” reporter. That’s why intelligent people keep their distance from him. Need proof? Look at the spin he puts on everything to create controversy. Other beat writers and reporters, who cover USC, have Wolf to thank for this latest rule. Wolf should be tossed.

          • So you would visit a Republican website to get a Democratic view or vice versa. Go to ix Chevrolet dealership to purchase a brand new Ford Truck.

SUCC49, in case you missed it,this is Wolf’s blog. Hence, Wolf is allowed to present his take on SUCC football. Just because you’re a SUCCster doesn’t mean Wolf must lower himself to your level of fairy tale expectations.

If you don’t like Wolf’s POV, go elsewhere for SUCC fairy tale yarns.

  1. Speaking to parents is fine…..It’s the leading questions by manipulative reporters, such as Wolf, that’s an issue…..look in the mirror, Scottie, and try not to take things so personally…….

    • Name one program where reporters speak to parents. It is a non-issue. Parents are often unhappy with playing time, how their kid is utilized, etc. If you want to start a Sch#^tstorm, start quoting parents at any school.

      • True….It’s just Wolf being Wolf…..no wonder he is reviled by his sports writing colleagues……with the exception of Petros, of course…..

      • You may wish to convey your sentiments to the “Owns” troll…….This dolt seems to think that a coach is “hiding ” something, or is not being “transparent” by not allowing the press to speak with the parents during practice as they watch their kids play… as if the parents want to be bothered my someone like Scott……..

      • If it were true that reporters simply talking to parents and reporting on it would start an S storm, then reporters would be all over it. This is an overreach by a paranoid USC sports media dept. Some of the better stories that Wolf and other reporters have written have been human interest pieces that started with bloggers and reporters talking to families.

  2. Actually, I am willing to bet that the official reason is more related to the fear of runners. This is the fallout of Reggie Bush.

Whether that is a real fear or not, I don’t know. I do think it is more to keep reporters from starting things with players parents, kinda like when Scottie, way back in 2005, tried to start something with LenDale White over a lack of carries in the season opening Hawaii game.

  3. A “special area”???

NOBODY puts wolfman in the corner!!!

I’d like to talk to a few players’ parents about how their kids are being treated by Siete: Walker, Brown, Shaw, Cravens, Blackwell, etc etc etc

    What’s Siete got to hide???

    #CoverUp

  4. “Media” = A guy in a soccer jersey
“Inappropriate” = Asking parents if he can move out of his van down by the river and into their back house.

  5. why are parents at college practices anyway? Do SC’s tennis players have mommy and daddy sitting by every practice too?

  6. Maybe parents are not there to be interviewed and don’t want to be;not everybody wants to talk to reporters.

  7. If Scott could he would join TMZ sports, but they found him in a special area and told him he had a face for newspapers.
