  1. Speaking of Heisman, wolfman, what are the odds of the Pious Passer ever completing another pass (or as he calls them, Interceptions) in the NFL???

    10,000,000,000/1?

    HAWR-HAAAAWR!!!!

  2. Silly odds.

usc has absolutely no chance to win a football national championship this year. None.

ucla, in the real world is about 50-1 and would never beat OU or ALA or FSU – not with ucla’s D. I’ve seen this scenario before against MIA.

Seems ORE is beatable by the little gutties. Woeful WSU almost defeated the Ducks, so they can obviously be taken down.

      • Difference between Trojans and little gutties.

USC chokes occasional games. We’re almost always favored because we’re USC.

ucla chokes every year. Every single year. Never wins titles. Never plays in the Rose Bowl in January. Go ahead and look it up for your ancient history appearances!

little gutties always happy to just beat usc sometimes (won 30, lost 46). ucla never accomplishes anything else. Bridesmaid U: 5-7 in the Rose Bowl.

        • little gutties always choke. This never gets old. It’s just what you do Crotch Boy (strange fixation dude). Choke. Every single year. Always the same old bruin story. Oops, we did it again!

      • Marv, my hat’s off to you to trying to talk some actual football. And yes, definite off year for the P12. Stanford has that D, but their O is mediocre. Oregon has the O, but their D is mediocre. UCLA is schizophrenic, ASU is down, Arizona is still a question mark, and USC is a different team one week to the next. It’s any team’s to win!

    • (Today’s Bruins defense is much better than 98’s.)

It’s still early in the season. By the end of Saturday night, we’ll have a much better idea of where the two teams stand.

  3. Let the season play out, and let the prognosticators enjoy their little hobby.

It appears there are no great teams this year, so the likelihood of any one of 10 top teams winning the title is not remote.

      • I guess I am still not sold on Alabama because of its new offensive coordinator. But we’ll see.

        • I don’t think there are any great teams in PAC-12 this year. Oregon is dinged up. UCLA has had 1 good game that could be an aberration. SC looked bad at BC and Stanford has serious red zone issues. I think 1 team will get into the playoff but don’t like their chances beyond that.

Now, a team could emerge and show signs of improvement, but at this point in time, I think ‘Bama has looked the best.

  4. This team is a couple of years away from even thinking about a national title, and that is only if Steve Sarkisian turns out to be a productive and successful Coach. And if he happens to bobble his opportunity at USC, the program will be set back another couple of years.

    • I agree… until they are back to having a full allotment of scholarship players, they will be working with a significant handicap….at least Sark and his staff are recruiting well…
