USC Morning Buzz: Adoree Jackson Wants Work Ethic To Define His Identity

"USC Trojans vs Oregon State Beavers "

Hans Gutknecht/Los Angeles Daily News

Adoree Jackson knew his reputation preceeded him as a top 10 recruit. And he knew the bad part attention can bring.

“A lot of people told me they didn’t think I would come in and work hard,” Jackson said Wednesday. “I wanted to prove them wrong. I don’t want to be viewed by people as a slacker. I wanted to earn respect from the players.”

Jackson’s done that so far with humility and of course, his athleticism.

  1. There you have it: it was “incidental contact,” by our linemen says Sark, and was definitely not intentional blocking that brought about the injuries to two Beavers’ players….

Jackson is needed more on the defensive side, and besides, his possible future at the next level would be defensive….

The betting line for the Devils’ game has increased in SC’s favor because the QB is probably not going to play. SUCLA had difficulties with the second stringer, but the kid did throw 2 picks, so there is a reason he is second string….

SC at 4:30, SUCLA at 7:30, and the Dodgers play on Sat as well. So probably 55,000 for Dodgers, 60,000 for SUCLA and 75,000 for SC, or 190,000 paying customers on Saturday. L.A, the sports capital of the world

    • AJ should definitely be a CB in the NFL…..they make big bucks (see Patrick Peterson, who was signed to a five-year, $70-million contract extension…and the four-year, $56-million deal the Seattle Seahawks gave Richard Sherman)

    • L.A. may be the sports capital on Saturday, but you’d better stay the heck off the freeways!

  2. oh, the ACCUSED claims he is completely innocent??? ANYONE would consider that a completely credible source!! it’s EXACTLY what OJ always says!!! Siete’s stark denials leave me cold and frightened.

NOW lets have a look at the comments from the coach whose players were the victims of these cheap shots:

OR St. O-Line coach Banker: “I really question the blocking technique of the USC offensive line because those chop blocks that they were getting…A couple of them were really ugly, right on the guy’s knees.”

i heard ESPN is now on the story THANKS TO THE WOLFMAN!!!

      • Hey Timmy/Tommy’s back and still has nothing to contribute except abbreviation speak. LOL.

    • Hey Sark didn’t do squat, didn’t see squat, doesn’t know squat. Therefore the visual film evidence of SUCC’s delibrate chop blocking is, per Sark, nothing but squat.

Sark is still investigating the J. Shaw “rescue yarn,” and won’t rest until the truth is revealed.

  3. Take a KNEE, wolfman, i GOT THIS!!!

Memo to Cadre: ok, instead of listening to Siete’s LIES, why don’t we all simply watch a slow-mo video clip of the cheap shot by Max Turd and anyone who disagrees this is a cheap shot, can speak their peace (you will face potential excommunication from the Cadre, however): blindside hit, helmet right on knee. “Incidental”????

    • And you very conveniently FAILED to mention that the umpire was standing less than 10 yards away from the play and he was staring directly at Tuerk……and he called nothing on the play….this can be seen CLEARLY in the video clip, as well….feel free to queue up the conspiracy theories by the Blessed cadre………. .

      • i said cheap shot, not illegal. everyone agrees it’s a “legal” hit, doesn’t make it not a cheap shot.

a D-lineman can cave in the QB’s knees EVERY time they have an open blind side hit on QB, perfectly legal hit, but they don’t do it. why? cause it’s a cheap shot and payback is a B.

        #CheapShotEvidence

        • You still FAILED to mention that the umpire was in position to make the call, cheap shot or not…..as usual, selective presentation of the facts, just like your idol, Scott Wolf…..

          • that is immaterial…..no one says it’s a violation, so don’t matter how many refs see it.

STOP dancing around the point, CANT ONE trOXan be man enough to ADMIT that was a CHEAP SHOT???

i guess it’s open season on trOXans kness, and i won’t hear a PEEP from you Dummies???

          • Nobody ranted about losing A. Walker last year when UCLA took him out of the game with a broken ankle…and why?…..because it’s football, CB…not synchronized swimming……like it or not, it’s “open season” on players knees each and every play, for each and every team….instead of following the football, watch action in the trenches….you actually might learn something…

          • i wont go into great detail, but i WAS in the trenches so i know what i’m talking about.

are you asserting UCLA targeted Walker’s ankle? cause i have video EVIDENCE Turk TARGETED the Beaver. i assume you have no evidence whatsoever.

i’ll go into more analysis later when wolfman updates the story. a more forensic analysis is overdue, and Chucker-Bucker is just the guy to DO IT!!

            #CSI:Cadre

          • I suspect that there will NEVER be any video evidence of YOU targeting a Beaver, but I digress……..

          • Which explains why you never complain about being penalized for backfield in motion…..

      • NCAA rules state that chops blocks — blocks at or below thigh level on defensive players being blocked above the waist by another offensive player — are not fouls if the defensive player initiates contact. Given the wording of the rule, Banker said, “every offensive line coach in America” would say the blocks that injured Grimble and Tago were legal.

But “it was pretty damn close,” Banker added.

    • I can admit that was a cheap shot. If I was an OSU coach or player and this was done to one of our players, I’d be livid too.

      • Thank you, Mosca. (that’s from Godfather III, by the way, or as Soprano’s crew called it, simply “III”)

your street cred on this blog takes a back seat to NO ONE.

  4. Everything comes back to soccer, eh Scotty?
Question is, was the attempted header by the Beaver off the corner-kick, from an in-swinger or an out-swinger?
