USC defensive coordinator Justin Wilcox talks above about how “you feel you get kicked in the face” after the Arizona State loss and how the Trojans had 10 plays that “turned the entire tide” of the game. Full story here

  1. Instead of using a term that means ‘delusional,’ perhaps it would be more appropriate if Mr.Wilcox would label his defensive breakdowns as ‘mental lapses.’

  2. If anyone wants to make some money take Arizona for the the outright win. No odds or points. Just to win. By the end of the third quarter USC defense wil be spent.

  3. Coaches got hugely exposed as confused, poor decision makers during the game’s last six mins. If Wilcox thinks he’s getting a HC job anywhere soon, then he’s the psychotic one.

Time to move on. We’ve got what we’ve got. Kinda fun in a way. I don’t have the faintest idea if USC is going to win week in and week out. Seems like we could lose or win every game.

The Trojan coaches have been beat down so much, it’ll be interesting to see how the team responds. I wonder what the players really think of these coaches who have been revealed as basically average, but not exceptional coaches. To me, that’s the real “kick in the face” suffered by USC – not simply the amazing ASU loss. It’s more the realization that the USC players aren’t always coached that well.

  4. It’s amazing to me that know one in the media is asking Coach Wilcox about his lack of making adjustments when the opponents continue to exploit weak points in our defense & or his unwillingness to bring PRESSURE on passing downs. He is in love with the nickel & zone defense which allows the QB all day to find open pockets in our defense. How many 500+ passing yards games do we need to experience before changes are made? By the way, take a look at the end of the Stanford vs Norte Dame game last Saturday, Stanford decided to deploy the worthless prevent defense allowing Norte Dame to drive down the field & score a game winning touchdown. The entire game Stanford kept Norte Dame in check with pressure & then they deployed the mind boggling worthless prevent defense. That’s exactly what USC did vs. ASU = lost game! Lastly, someone needs to ask why coach Wilcox takes Sua Cravens off the field on 3rd downs, he is a true safety who is a tremendous playmaker & he is watching from the sidelines?

    • By the time we play UCLA & Notre Dame and lose those games due to their offenses, I think Sark will have to replace Wilcox. USC cannot lose to both teams 2-years in a row and do nothing unless Sark wants to become another Don Clark and considered a total bust. I don’t think even Haden can stand that.

  5. Why does USC always seem to find the “con men” of the college football coaching circles ? Paul Hackett, Lane Kiffin and now this self proclaimed “Great Defensive Coordinator” Bozo .Mike Garrett and Pat Haden are both Suckers when it comes to hiring Football Coaches. And the jury is still out on Steve Sarkisian and time will tell with him, but it ain’t looking to good.
